Normally you would need to get a speed density kit which replaces that sensor behind the blow off valve. Did I miss that part?

I talked with AAM about that. He said it's really not needed. There are enough sensors to measure all the parameters within the car for optimal tuning

Yeah they are cool! I went back to recirculation. I like it better with the sound and the smoother power delivery keeping the turbos spooling

It sounds good! But it’s something with a manual that makes BOV’s sound better lol there’s no pause in between gear shifts in a dual clutch so you don’t hear the whoosh noise until you let off the throttle versus in a manual you hear it every time you shift gears. Love watching your videos tho. Been watching since you had your red genesis and 370z🤙🏼

You could technically let off the gas and then tap the paddle haha. Its probably less stress on the DCT too. No one does that though lol

Not really. If anything, the turbos have to spool a bit more to get back into power after you let off the throttle. I did switch back to the recirc tho. It sounded better to me

Yes you'll need to be tuned on speed density. If not it definitely won't run correctly since you'll have two plugs unplugged. The Man tuning will be trying to read those unplugged sensors.

Man, that top vacuum hose looks really short (tight). Is that the stock one or did it come with the BOV? I've toyed with getting some aftermarket BOV's, but haven't pulled the trigger yet. And you are definitely going to need speed density to run E85....going to Ecutek or staying with Cobb?

I can’t remember on the hose. Might be the original ones from when I first installed the upper pipes with valves. Next batch of GTR content will be some fun!

Not here to criticize this video, just wanted to shed some light on what you have going on here for you and people watching this: the car at the moment in your current configuration is running off of false information as it thinks the air coming into the motor is much cooler then the actual air temp. basically its reading air temp from the filter not post intercooler as it should. If you buy the kit I linked to above and have it tuned accordingly you’ll be reading the air in properly, right now you’re basically “fibbing” and tricking the car, not the way I’d do it on a car of this caliber, but to each their own.

that gasket on the BOV has a lot of metal particles on it. is that normal? at 3:20

Yeah I noticed that. I wiped it all off before reinstalling. That was probably there from the manufacture. So nothing to worry about lol

@@BrosFOURRSpeed Id still check with tial, something seems off to have that much metal particles on a gasket on a sealing edge, it might be part of the break in process but doesn't hurt to ask. do BOV/resurc have maintenance periods where you have to take them apart and clean and lube?

Good point. Odd that it was in the crack tho where the seal goes into the aluminum. So non of the particles can escape and get into the engine. But I'll definitely give it some mileage and maybe take them apart to see

Hi bro, I bought a HKS sequential BOV and I want it also set to atmospheric , I also have a COBB handheld tuner. Is there a way I can have the "speed density" tuning ( you mention Mike at AEM ) because the tuner here in my city is saying my GTR 2010 Premium need t be dyno tune remove the bolt to front drivetrain as to dyno it??? but I saw you switched to atmospheric w/o needing to dyno tune it. Yeah using the recirc valves as vent to atmosphere its much louder. But I swapped them back to the legit vent to atmosphere bottoms.

I think with the Speed Density tuning it just doesn't need that one sensor. I did swap it back to the normal tuning since the SD wouldn't pass inspection. Since the one sensors are not in use. The tune can let them complete a drive cycle. So I had 2 incomplete codes

Nope. Doesnt make a difference. However because SD tuning takes away the MAF sensor function, the car couldn't pass emissions inspection. So I swapped it back to recirc and am actually just sticking with that now
