@@WillMaletic I personally dislike safety pass as well. It shouldn't be a thing at all. Any time you fail in Stages 1-4 you should be instantly out. On the other hand Speed Pass is probably the best addition ANW has done. It's fantastic

The speed pass was only used for one season as it reduced the leaderboard from 15 to 12, and the producers just thought: “No. you have to earn yourself a spot for the National Finals via leaderboard”. Only Geoff Britten had the perfect season, but he was bested by Isaac Caldiero (who fell on the 9th obstacle on the Kansas City Finals) on the final Stage by seconds to spare and missed out on 1 Million Dollars.

@@AlanovMaster64 I know that and I hated it despite also being happy for Drew at the time (before the infamous news came out) I don't mind people failing semis or city finals as those aren't the important stages. However I do despise safety pass. It's a shame speed pass isn't used because that was perfect imo

Kaden's fail isn't the most shocking fail because the red side is slippery and makes the competitors fall that goes on that side which is unfair.

Red side is obviously rigged. Plus, there wasn’t even a ‘higher seed on blue’ rule or stuff like that. It was CLEARLY rigged. Placed Jera Boyd on the red side because they don’t like him at people want Joe to make it for (Jera has been fast forwarded every run of this season even though he was a second off of the safety pass race and got the mega wall), put Alex Romer on the red side so people could see a rookie they knew from other non televised ninja shows, put Kaden on the red side to get attention, put Kyle Soderman on the red side probably because they felt like he wasn’t popular enough, put Josiah Pippel on the red side (idk why they did it but it was still pretty rigged), etc.

Most shocking failure in semifinals was of Ian Dory, Grant McCartney,Ryan Stratis and Jessie Graff these all were the fan favourite and thought to make it back to Vegas but they all failed and this is really shocking of this season

Can we go back to ANW 5 again? I hate these new seasons. The rules, the teens, the scripted episodes (and fails, come on it’s obvious), it all sucks. What happened to ANW from when I was a kid? They neutered the entire show to give the teens a chance, which they shouldn’t even have since the casting should be 21 and above. And I can’t even comprehend these new obstacles. I especially hate what they did to each stage. And they didn’t even run stage 2 normally this season, it was that fucking ninja vs ninja gimmick. NINJAS VS THE COURSE ONLY!!That’s the whole point of the show! Same with fall once, you’re out. Screw the safety pass. They’re just trying to appeal to the new younger audience and demographic, and I hate it. Just because everybody’s all sensitive nowadays doesn’t mean you need to apply it to your show. If they don’t like it, they don’t like it. Their opinion. Anyway, going back to the stages, the biggest atrocity for me was the removal of the flying bar for stage 3. The staple obstacle gone. Just to give the teens a chance. Not to mention, these new obstacles look easy. Granted, others are actually harder than previous ones, but still. Goodbye, original ANW. You will be missed and forever hold a special place in my heart as my favorite childhood show. Not watching season 17 based on the info released.

Jera’s fail wasn’t shocking at all. He was forced to fail because he didn’t do some sort of ‘hand over hand’ move that barely made the obstacle easier. Plus, they don’t like Jera. Didn’t give him the call for S16, fast forwarded his qualifier run where he got the Mega Wall, fast forwarded his semifinal run even though he was a second from beating Kaden, and cut half his stage three run.

the new ANW rules are utter dogshit. theoretically going into the final stage you could only have 1 buzzer (3rd stage) and then beat the final and win a million dollars, fucking joke. like racing on stage 2 isn't the worst but they need to make it so if you fail you're still out, the race isn't just about who gets further, you actually still need to complete the course. to this day, Geoff Britten's Total Victory was the only true TOTAL victory, as he never failed at all all season, unlike Drew in s11, where he won because he had a safety pass.

Isaac caldiero’s should count as a “true total victory” as well because he only fell in a preliminary round to the actual mount midoriyama. For instance if there was a sasuke trials and someone falls on an obstacle, but then makes it into sasuke and gets total victory, that would count
