I was getting ready to work after morning muster, I am a U.S. Navy veteran Gunnersmate. I was stationed in Texas on the U.S.S. Inchon (MCS-12) we had just returned from deployment 10 days earlier. We were the command ship for the minesweepers. 20 min after all reports came through the next order I received was to man my gun, and standby for further orders. We had 2 crews rotating 12 hrs. on 12 hrs. off. We did this for 5 days, then we had a modified security detail. For those who have lost a loved one I send my condolences. I Will Never Forget.

I was 21 years old during 9/11. I was at home Depot getting supplies. When we got in the truck and heard them talking about the plane hitting. Got back to the house we were working at, and asked the homeowner to turn on the TV. Not a min later, the second plane hit. We stood in silience for an hour watching everything unfold live on TV. I live in South Jersey...after a few hours there was actually soot and dust in the sir and you could smell the smoke. Needless to say I'll never forget that day, where I was, what the weather was like...every bit of that horrific day

I dig those lights. I was in 8th grade when 9/11 went down, so were you since we are the same age. I knew then that I was joining the Army. 8 years of army service, medical retirement later, here I am! Keep up the great videos, I look forward to them!

Sept 11th 2011: Deployed, US Navy. Submarine USS Ohio, operating in the Pacific. Nuclear Reactor Mechanic **MM1(SS)** Both Camaros, and the Firebird, as well as the truck were safe at home near Seattle. Family in NY and NJ were all safe. 9-11-01 i was a self dispatched firefighter /first responder to the trade center. from my fire station in stamford ct. i stayed working the pile at ground hero for a full week then was forced to leave by EOC. thank you for honoring those lost that day #343

9/11/01 I was in New York City and could see the towers from my office. I was trapped in the city for nearly 24 hours and could not get out, buses weren't running, I finally got a train out of the city at about 5 am. The following Monday I came into work and found out I lost my contract and out of a job in 2 weeks because of the economy tanking right after the attacks.

I was 41 years old & sleeping. I was working nights then at a service station/gun shop. My uncle called me & told me to get up right then & turn my TV on because we were under attack. It was actually my day off but I got called in because the station was swamped because a rumor got out that all gas tankers were not going to run for a week. Our whole town Kennett, MO was run out of gas before midnight. Funny thing was most all the stations were stocked with gas by the next night. BTW, those new taillights are looking good on the truck for sure!

Those new tail lights are pefect! Seriously. I had the day off work and was surfing the internet at the time, and just happened to have CNN on the tv to my left. I used to sit closer to the 27" tv in my bedroom at the time, so when those details started coming up right as it started to air, everything was big and bold.. and seared into my memory.

I remember there was like 100 military helicopters flying over my house to secure the boarder on 9/11/01. I know its a tragic day but that was one of the coolest memories I can think of. This was in upstate NY.

I put the same lights on my truck and they made it through one winter and the salt corroded the connectors and they shorted out. Also they kept getting moisture in them like Mike's headlights. Had to end up replacing the harness and put the original light back in!

Nick, Sylvania makes a really nice a VERY bright LED bulb that will work for the reverse lights in your truck. Used them in my TL and they are super bright.

They actually make bulbs that are led for that reverse bulb for your silverado I put them in my 07 silverado they are fairly cheap and help for seeing at night backing up. It's a 921 for 14 up I believe.

I lived very close to the Pentagon, as well as some of my coworkers when it happened. One of my coworkers went to North Arlington High School and they could hear the plane pass over the building, which shook everything, as well as the following explosion about 3 minutes later.

i had those same exact ones. first rainstorm they filled with water. then had them warranty out then a car wash with my hose well water got in them so i warranty them out again for the first rain of the new ones to fill with water again then i just got my money back went to stock and tinted them and added my own LED lights

I was a freshman in college. I listened to some radio coverage of the events in the dining hall before my 8am class. (2 hour time difference). Nobody knew what was happening. Our profs asked if we knew what was going on. I'd heard speculation that 2 planes collided in mid air on the radio. Nobody knew it was a terror attack at that point. Never forget.

You have to pull quite hard to get those tail light housings out. It makes you feel like you're going to brake something. You should change the reverse and cargo light bulbs with Phillips LED bulbs.

I was in Great Lakes in the Navy going through my Basic Electrical Engineering class. We went on brake and we heard about the first plane hitting. Then on our next break we heard about the second plane and the pentagon. We were released from class early that day and were all told to make a Phone call home explaining that we were safe and that we did not know what was going to happen next.

I was in New Orleans on business, in fact, it was a conference I attend yearly that all the airlines attend. So we have reps from all the major airlines in the world. None of us could get out as you know, since the aircraft were all grounded. So I took my rental and my wife and I drove from NO to Jersey.

Lights look great I have had my LED Spyders on my 2000 for 5-6 years now no issues......... Plus they are crazy bright at night, which I think helps with safety by reducing the risk of getting rear ended. Can't say they didn't see my brake lights lol You could look into getting a matching 3rd brake light as well in the future.

I was trying to find these Spyder tail lights for my 2017. I don't have the factory led's on my truck. It appears that if that is the case you have to search for 2016 lights to get the lights that work on non led trucks. I want to put these on my blacked out silverado. The red tail lights stand out like a sore thumb.
