Barbaros Dantioch. Realy cool dude. Ultramarines are said to harbour memembers of the 2 lost legions and could also honor Dantioch who help Defender Ultramar. That's the reason they have so funky successors.

Silver Skulls, and the Iron Snakes are said to have actually been from Iron Warriors stock, but their lineage was forged, saying they were Ultramarines successors instead.

In the Ultramarines Omnibus, the mortifactors also do blood rituals, where they take the blood of allies who died and drink it for the knowledge it holds. It's in the 2nd book in the first omnibus, when they're defending Tarsis Ultra from the tyranids.

Successors don't get their own unique miniatures (outside of the Black Templars who are very different than their parent legion). They feel like a mix of giving writers more breathing room for new stories and letting players use whatever color scheme they feel like when painting a mini if they aren't fans of the parent chapter's. So in a way "yes" since it eliminates not liking the official color scheme as a reason to not check out a new faction.

A bit of a side note, the Ultramarines are known to offer sanctuary for loyalist elements of the Traitor Legions, both to let these loyalists continue to serve the Imperium and hide their shameful parentage from unwanted attention, such as the Inquisition. The Silver Skulls and Iron Snakes are the more obvious ones, cause of the former's iconography and the latter's organizational structure. Other Ultramarine successors may also have skeletons in their closet that the wider Imperium is unaware of, but as long as they are loyal to the Emperor and Imperium, that should be all that matters.

NOTE: THIS IS NOT TRUE AT ALL. The thing about UM absorbing legionaires from the Lost Legion is nothing but WORD BEARER RUMORS. The author himself clarified that. And the Silver Skulls ARE NOT IRON WARRIORS. Sarah Cakwell, author and creator of the Silver Skulls said that they are UM. Besides, the chapters you said has nothing in common with the Traitors besides aesthetics lol

And another thing- GUILLIMAN DESPISES THE TRAITOR LEGIONS. He was against creating chapters from their stock. So why would you think he would create one and pretend thats its his? Doesn't make sense, does it? And Guilliman only allowed Loyalist from traitor Legions to fight and die for the Emperor. Thats it. He never adopted them to his Legion. There's literally 0 evidence of him integrating them to the Ultramarines. Not even a single sentence on any book or lore.
