This resonates - sounds like my father. The negative influence he has had in my life, in my siblings life is profound. He is an elderly man now. The last time I ‘spoke’ with him, less than a year ago he had the verbal energy of a much younger man and I saw who he really was and understood where all the problems that existed with the siblings started. It was an eye opener. I had been blind to everything but he finally dropped the mask. I ended the call in a civil way but in my heart and mind I knew I would never speak to him again. Yep this is definitely my soon to be ex husband, refuses to do anything for himself! Only reason why I do the shit is because if I don't I have more shit to deal with. But it will be over soon and hes going to have a huge eye opening.
