I know early 2000's Big Brother was a different time. I was watching it then, when I was middle school aged. The internet fan following was pretty small compared to now, but could you imagine the backlash if someone threatened to rape and assault someone in the house now? They waited until he held a knife to someone's throat and threatened to kill them before they intervened and kicked him out.

Not only that, a woman told that he had raped her before he entered the house. At the next day, he was ejected, and this got on all the Brazilian breaking news shows

And there definitely were rage-inducing bigots living in that house, such as Jeff and Braden...but Chima wasn't any better. She called Russell a terrorist, and even went as far as to say that he belonged on America's Most Wanted. He's of Middle-Eastern descent and has an Arabic surname, just for context. Sure, Russell behaved like a bully, but those were some very specific words that she chose to use towards him, and it definitely seemed like there was an implied racial bias when she said that.
