Every Time Someone Should Have Died In Total Drama Island

I was rewatching the Total Drama series and I thought, "I know this is a cartoon but these people should be dead." And so I compiled a compilation of every time someone should have been killed on the show. I will probably do seasons 2-5.2 as well if this video performs well. If you want to debate certain clips in the comments I will defend my reasoning.

Honestly, a lot of these don't seem to be fatal, per se. It's hard to tell whether or not they'd die, or just end up with permanent, debilitating injuries.

I’m almost certain a lot of the ones that have that chance factor of potentially dying are on the scale of ‘almost certainly dead’ will admit tho, some of them I determined would need more context of the scenes beforehand or straight up definitely weren’t really fatal. Owen’s head in the bears mouth for example is up in the air because that depends on if the bear is biting down with enough force to crush his skull, which very well might not have. He’d almost certainly have gotten his head pierced a bit but if it was only giving the slightest pressure it’s definitely survivable. Electric eels with Izzy came to mind that one might be debatable too. Altho at least a first shock, second and third ones would almost certainly do the job. Last one that I can immediately think of is the one where everyone’s being tossed into the ocean either by the moose including the surfboard thing coming down quickly with everyone having been caught with it. That one depends on how fast it’s moving and how pointy the end is. It’s probably enough to kill the one the tip would hit, but everyone else is very debatable.

@@TheDeathOmen Regarding Owen's head being inside the bear's mouth, the fatal part would probably happen next. A grizzly bear waking up with a human head in its mouth will probably end up eating [or at least brutally mauling] said person quite intentionally soon afterwards.

If you have a proper diving form you can survive pretty easily- hence why Olympic divers and such can dive from up to hundreds of feet without injury. feel free to correct me if i'm wrong but i'm pretty sure as long as you don't hit the water such that you stop due to the surface tension of the water then you should be fine.

Honestly Trent should not have survived episode 11. Like why Chris wasn’t sure there is beyond me. Pufferfish are only prepared by expert chefs that have been taught how to remove the poisonous organs for years because it’s very difficult. How Bridgette was able to do it also makes like no sense.

The first 3 seasons did a great job keeping my suspension of disbelief. Despite all the cartoony stuff that happened in the first 3 seasons, the show only lost me when Zeke fell into a volcano, got launched and survied as well as Alejandro being doused by a bunch of lava and surving (by being put in a robot suit). It didn't cause me to quit the show if you're wondering. I simply lost interest when season 4 was delayed by a year.

Some of these deaths were pretty iffy, like I gotta dock some of the falling parts for Owen and Izzy. Falling onto a goat, then immediately falling off and away from said goat would not kill someone. It would be painful, sure. Or Duncan stabbing himself with the hook. He'd likely start bleeding from that, sure, but its unlikely to kill him. Still, Owen and Izzy being at the top makes sense.

You know, you could probably calculate how high the diving cliff is to see if it’s past the death threshold. Obviously the ones that didn’t do a perfect dive would have died, but apparently there are survivors from the top of the Golden Gate Bridge, which is 220 ft tall (~58m). You can’t base it off fall time due to cuts, sadly.

Believe it or not, Ezekiel is actually the only one who could survive the 1000 ft cliff jump. Him hitting the rock would have injured him, but that's not a killing blow. Plus the ricochet would actually lessoned the force of his fall since most of it went towards the rock and he was near the end of his fall.

Well not Nessesarily since cliff diving is pretty common. I think those who landed in non-water and in the shark zones most likely. But given sharks aren't aggressive usually, I'd say it's about 50/50 sharks, and impact on acctual harm. Like Tyler falling on that floaty thing, and heralds split.
