My top 3 non terrain park trails are, paradise, lazy, and burma. In that order Once blue builds up a thick base they are the trails that offer the best side hits and wall rides. Paradise, the whole right side from top to bottom is a giant side hit, the left has some nice spots about mid way down the trail, also epic wall ride opportunities at the top. Lazy has great side hits on the first half on the right side and some glade areas if the base is deep enough. A really nice wall ride opportunity on lower lazy. Burma has some sweet wall ride opportunities and both sides of the trail have decent side hits scattered around. Every other trail on the mountain, to me is, meh. Blue is my home in the winter haha.

Aww...live in Colorado now, but grew up skiing this mountain. So Tuts lane is a blue because essentially all trails (with the exception of connector) are blue trails. So essentially if you take Tuts...your going to end up on a blue anyway. I'm pretty sure that is why they labeled it a blue. However you are right with the people dodging haha.

Paradise vs Burma is spot on. Context: I'm a very green beginner with near-zero experience (had a day of skiing and a couple of days of snowboarding in Tahoe 5+ years ago). I went to Blue Mountain last year. Did a beginner's lesson, it was useless (got into group with a family with two kids, instructors were mostly focusing on kids having fun instead of teaching adults). Spent a couple of hours on bunny hill, felt pretty comfortable. Decided to go a green one and picked Paradise. Got on top 10-15 min before sunset. It started all very nice and fun but then got icy quickly and I realized I am not able to handle turns and I am gaining speed really quickly. Struggled a lot, spent 40+ min to get down (as I was falling on pretty much each turn and eventually my feet were hurting so much I couldn't even try to ski anymore). Next time I'll plan to get on greens earlier to avoid ice as much as possible.

Just FYI when you went through come around park you committed 2 cardinal sins. First, you cut between the 2 jumps which could have cut someone else off behind you. Unlike regular riding the person behind you has "some" right of way when you cut through their expected traveled path. And second, after you got to the second jump you rolled right under the landing, again forcing someone behind to stop because you rode in front of their expected path. Cool video, its been 10 years or so since I've been to blue. I wish they would bring their ticket prices down...
@markgraber3906 Жыл бұрын
Eh, sins are intentional. This was my first season and I was still under the false impression that “downhill has the right of way” applied everywhere, including the park. I learned pretty quick.
