This sword is very priceless. It is use by many king of ancient china, warrior and brilliant general. Maybe one day we can time-travel back and find out all story of it.that era is choas because of continue war. It takes a lot of guts to time-travel back to that century.

Kindly nerdy but when I create weapons on video games, I try to find the most epic and iconic names to call them. Even doing real research. The Sword or Goujian definitely meets the criteria. This sword was made before Jesus and is still sharp!

King Goujian reigned during the Buddha's time, The evidence is King Goujian reigned 496-465 B.C. King Ajatasattru 492 to 460 BC

Interesting how much this sword resembles a Roman Gladius which had its beginnings in Iberia (Spain today). If my math is correct the gladius is slightly older, but earlier versions of the Chinese sword may have existed. One thing is certain and that is it is a remarkable and beautiful artifact.

This sword is created around 500bc while Roman Gladius 250bc so your math is wrong. And yes China been making these swords at least since 700bc

Yes, I noticed it was very similar to a Roman Gladius but I realized that this sword is not the normal Chinese sword like the Jian used in battle

China and chinese created and was pretty much pioneers of everything.. and its all valid prrof just like chinese history is the only one that can be proven fully intact, all the rest is exxagrettion and lies and often exposed to be.. but youll read unbelievable stuff in chinas history and culture, then its later proven as fact.. for example this sword was mentioned in a book, about being the sword and no other sword in the world compared, it was told to be made from the combined of man and HEAVEN. so what do we know now, not only is the sword from that time, made so well but even today with technology impossible to make, even the engraving, the swords of the west anglo saxons or gladiators are not even close to such fine artistic quality.. they are just peices of metal.. chinese swords are works of art.. there is no comparisent. but what do we know today?? is the words was buried for over 2000 years, and uncovered with not even a spec of rust.. how is that even possible??? so the so called mythical stories and folklore in China has miraculasly proven itself as fact again, the heavens and earth.. it hadnt rusted in 2000 years buried and remained so sharp it cut the man unearthing it, just touching it, running his finger along the edge. such things is impossible in modern scientific understanding.

The later Southern Yue had some relationship with Viet, But not this Yue. This one was actually an enfeoffed kingdom of the Zhou dynasty.

Otherwise we couldn't read it. Officially recognized minority is 54, god knows how many more are unrecognized. Point is they are sinicized.
