@@khistraley1150 Simpla answer: youtube from mobile couldn't have the timestamps in the description working until some app versions ago,so timestamps from the comments were mandatory for mobile users. Most modern phones now have this feature in their KZbin app, but older phones could very well not have it, thus I keep the timestamps in the comments too.

@@DaedalosC9 Oh boy yeah, it was fine at first, then Konami put out updates that really forced the pay to win aspect of the game, which killed it. Fans were upset, but wanted it to continue. I think they brought it back internationally recently, but i feel it's too late to save.

I love the idea of a underwater clock tower where the gears in the clock are moved by water and water doesn’t impact the jumps of the character and the Medusa heads aren’t a huge pain because instead of causing the stone status instead they cause poison like most aquatic snakes have the ability to do

I remember getting stuck on the sunken city in castlevania 3 with Alucard for so long and this is the first stage I learned how to use turning into a bat because I absolutely needed it to get around the bone snakes. Everytime I turned into a bat, I would sing along to this song but change all the lyrics to 'I am a spooky boy' but adding an extra spooky when the syllables didn't fit :P Even when I hear this song in smash now the subconscious part of my brain is just like 'this is the spooky boy song playing rn'

This song makes me think of that level in Castlevania III where the boss breaks through the dam once his health is down by half, and you have to quickly make your way through the last couple screens & finish him off before you drown.

Crazy hard stage, but very very good. I think many people skipped this stage by taking one of the shorter (and easier paths) with Sypha which is kinda a shame. Nostalgia ;)

All version rated + Dracula's Curse - Densetsu: Good, just the limitation of the console make the song little bit Mario-esque + CoTM: Weird but good, again the hardware limitation hits hard + Rebirth: Nice MIDI sound, better than the original + Harmony of Despair: I can't believe this is very epic... + Castlevania Pachinko: THEY ARE HITTING HARD JUST TO MAKE A MASTERPIECE IN A PACHINKO?! + Smash Ultimate: "Don't forget that this is Smash..."

I like the NES version of this soundtrack for the opposite reason. They're working their ass off to get the most out of those 3 channels. I also think the NES version of Beginning blows its Japanese counterpart as well

That's because it is, basically. It was designed for Famicom first before getting downgraded to the NES.

The Famicom version doesn't sound as great as people say it is, there's lots of instruments that just doesn't fit, it's basically saturating the soundtracks with unnecessary instruments, while the NES version doesn't do that, it doesn't need lots of instruments piled up to sound good, it's actually better composed than the famicom version.

a lot of people saying rebirth is the best, but man i don't really like the midi for this song. my faves are probably CotM (my first castlevania game, all those songs are very nostalgic) and pachislot (never heard it before but holy shit). gba soundtracks hold a special place in my heart, but man, that new segment added for pachislot fit way better than the smash addition in my opinion, and the whole overall remix is god-tier. (i'm also on the side of famicom > NES)

I like the original NES version Harmony of despair feels like a modern take on the NES version which i like. The famicom and adventure versions sound cluttered and i don't like it. The smash version sounds like a mix of both The second to last one just sounds weird And circle of the moon sounds like it was trying to do something different making it stand out Top 3 1: NES version 2: circle of the moon 3: harmony of despair HM: i do like the adventure version a lot more than the famicom version. I just like how it sounds mostly I also want to give 2 dishonorable mentions to the 1 before the smash version and the famicom version
