My three year old asks to "watch Shayda" as part of settling down for bed. During the day he sits at his little art desk and mixes his paints and adds color to the sketches I draw for him.

Watching you paint these flowers and leaves has become my favourite past time!!😍😍 As I flip through different channels, I just know when yours come.. it's soo catchy and familial to my eyes.. I love leaves, although I'm a beginner and am just learning to paint.. I love what you're doing, and you definitely deserve a lot of credit. 🌺🌺🌿🌿🍁🍁

I recently started painting Watercolour flowers after watching your videos and made a couple of bookmarks for my mum and my aunts and they absolutely loved them! Hope to get more confident with my flowers soon ❤️ thank you so much for your videos, I've been following you forever.

I love this reminder to practice your brushstrokes. Such a relaxing way to spend some time. No pressure to be perfect because "it's just practice". A nice little exercise to take outside as we're getting warmer days now [up here in Canada, almost all of our snow/ice from the shady places is gone!]. I like to fill one or two aqua brushes with some colour to do this, grab a block of watercolour paper and it's easy to sit out on the deck and play. Much to my surprise, years ago when I started zentangling, practicing just making lines is both enjoyable and gives more control with penwork/brushwork.

Yes, my philosophy exactly! If you enjoy the practice and process that's the best way to become proficient! 😊 Where are you in Canada? We're in Charlottetown.

Hello, there! I am a fan of your channel. Decided to try some water color painting for my own. Ordered the set from amazon and so disappointed with the paints. First of all the paint itself is dry powder, not a liquid paint. When it dries out the paint starts falling off from the paper turning into a powder. My questions here is the paint you use seems to be a littler wet (liquid) before you mix it with water, right?

This is relally useful thanks. I found the tip for leaving a space between the leaves very helpful to when doing my bookmarks. I like the brownish tinge of some of the leaves.Fantastic. I am also really looking forward to doing a cherry blossom tree tomorrow. I did one today and but I am always looking for better techniques. One question, I am not sure whether I should leave a white space behind the tree or not ie what will look best? Background colours of the flowers would also be useful
