2024 has been the most underwhelming winter update. Just a new season and a limited. No new robbery or new mechanic. Badimo has ran out of ideas

i believe that at some point they will revamp cargo plane, because on twitter asimo said "we will revamp robberies before adding new ones", so maybe next update or in the summer we will be getting a cargo plane revamp

Imo there's two updates that really stood out to me during my years of Jailbreak: Winter 2020: i like the winter 2020 update because they added seasons back which added a lot of content to the game at the time (After season 4, the community was on fire due to the terrible rewards season 4 offered. Because of that, Badimo thought it would be best to discontinue seasons) Before the 2020 winter update, the gameplay of jailbreak was pretty stale as we didn't have hyperchromes or seasons. So it was pretty much just get to 1m, get the volt, and you were pretty much done jailbreak. Now i think there's a lot more content in the game compared to before the 2020 winter update. Onto the season; I liked the season items and they followed a consistent theme. In the free version of the battlepass, it seemed to follow a fire themed pass, while the paid version seemed to follow a snow theme pass. And of course, the beam hybrid was there (Imo its overrated and the reason its still high value is because Badimo officially addressed it as the rarest vehicle in the game) Winter 2019: Imo the game was probably in its worst state as mad city started to take over the prison genre. It got to the point where Badimo was adding weekly updates! (Quite a shock to me honestly) And due to the horrible execution of OG season 4 at the time, it looked like Jailbreak was over. But as i like to say, its only in our darkest time when we need the light most. And the devs did not disappoint us! They added probably one of the better robberies (imo) and it was really innovative for its time! Also i couldn't forget about the roadster, it was one of the best vehicles at that time because of the crazy acceleration compared to other cars like the Chiron. I remember lots of Jailbreak youtubers making tons of vehicle comparisons between the Roadster and the Torpedo. (its kind of sad that those comparisons died out a few years later) Also with the added factor of Nostalgia, i think this was one of my favourite updates. If i didn't mention the other winter updates its because: 1. I didnt play them at the time 2. I didnt enjoy them that much

Imo 2018 is the best winter update. Sure most of it's addiditions are either gone or changed, but it was still just great. The old ways seasons worked are way better if you ask me, airdrops were a fun addition, and the bases are useless but are a nice way to expand the map more.

Merry Christmas 🎄🎁 mate. I enjoyed this ranking as always. While I understand your thoughts on the winter 2017 update, the train being buggy was due to the fact that self moving physics on Roblox were very buggy and the devs were trying their best. The winter 2022 update also has this problem, as there’s a bug where the walls don’t work, and there’s no excuse here as many other games have well-functioning boss fights. With the winter 2023 update, I appreciate the goal of making boats relevant to the game, it would’ve been great if they made it to where you couldn’t drive cars in water. The winter 2024 update is very mediocre as it didn’t feel like there was anything to remember honestly. Merry Christmas and happy new year to you and everyone else reading this.

Yeah the airdrops were originally added 2018 but they were revamped September 2022 to be like how they are today

Here's my list: 1:2019 Really like this one with the new mechanics,robbery e.t.c overall my favorite. 2:2018 same as yours ngl. 3:2022: It's a great update don't know what to say lol. 4:2023:Really like the oil rig but everything else is fine. 5:2024 It's not too bad not too good it's alright. 6:2021 not my personal favorite but it's better then the other 2. 7:2020 not that good tbh although they did seasons back which makes it not the worst. 8:2017 my least favorite winter update. This is my opinion you can disagree with me

good video, but I heavily disagree with your takes on seasons. seasons occur to me as such a cynical feature that was meant to ape off of the success of Fortnite's battle passes, and that was made even worse when they were revamped exclusively for the sake of earning more money. they had their impact, but I'd rather be motivated to play a fun game than to chase some meaningless reward. it's a very artificial way of adding "replayability". For that reason, the 2023 and 2024 winter updates are better since seasons are handled infinitely better when released. furthermore, I think seasons had a much more negative impact on the game as they slowly changed Badimo's judgment on how to make the game. more and more things were added that geared more toward players who liked earning cosmetics rather than valuable gameplay additions as that is the audience that racks them the most dough. yes, you can ignore seasons as a game feature, but I think it undeniably changed Badimo's perspective on what Jailbreak is. I got a comment on my video about seasons that said Badimo needs to conform to what the Roblox audience and algorithm want from it, and I frankly find that deplorable. this means that Badimo needs to add these non-Jailbreak things to keep the game afloat and alive, but I'd honestly rather the game die than succumb to these systems that are frankly not Jailbreak. FOMO factors like seasons and limited vehicles, and other features that just don't fit with what Jailbreak initially was spoiled the creative identity of Jailbreak in my eyes. I wish we could've lived in the timeline where Badimo never lost sight of how to properly handle the game. tl;dr, I think seasons had a substantially negative impact on Jailbreak. though, I do appreciate the 2022 winter update being ranked significantly low as I have a vitriolic hatred for that update! :D

What in hell was going through your brain ranking 2020 above '21. Season 1 was easily the WORST season this game has ever seen, I don't care it introduced contracts - it's just not good. It was a torture to play. The DeLorean and bank truck are fine, but the tank is cooler and the j store revamp was better than the bank truck. It even wins objectively. Your opinion is WRONG. Even if C4 is super good, it was useless when it released. The re-addition of seasons was meh - the devs did it just for profits - and if you fail to acknowledge that then why are you bootlicking? Also why is 2019 in 2nd place? Skydiving was really bugged when it launched, and it was a gimmick more than anything and the roadster was also very buggy on release. You overrate the season system too much - it's a fun gimmick but adds very little to replayability as it builds on the basic foundational structure of the game - robberies and arrest. It's not that hard to get level 30 and buy two gimmick cars. I'm sorry but this has to be one of the most skewed rankings on this channel. Here's what I think. 1. 2017 - THE most fun anyone could have had, this was PEAK jailbreak as a roleplaying game - what it was meant to be all along. 2. 2021 - The tank is too fun and jstore revamp is also 👍 and the icebreaker was PEAK, it's the perfect season car. 3. 2020 - bank truck gets too much hate - it's the 2nd most fun robbery with the second best police - criminal interaction, compared to the slog brainrot we have. 6. 2023 - oil rig was a good concept but imo just bad police - criminal dynamics, it's just sitting simulator. 5. 2019 - cargo plane was sick in jailbreak, literally payday 2 6. 2022 - sick boss fight but -1 replayability, it's just boring after a while and predictable. 7. 2018 - meh seasons, i've already outlined it. 8. 2024 - 0 effort. your rankings fell off but that's your opinion and I will respect it. back to the little cave we go.

@@test-ve6wg thanks for writing in with your thoughts but I obviously disagree with a lot of it. I’ll elaborate on one point. yeah the devs added seasons for profits, like how they add pretty much every feature for profits?? With every update, the goal is to add stuff to keep people playing and get more money. Literally every update is profit based and wanting to get money from a game is not a bad thing, so I see no reason to have that as a critique. I think seasons are great because they provide a consistent reason to come back to the game if you want to own every vehicle like me, but if you don’t care about that you can easily ignore seasons as they don’t impair your normal gameplay experience and none of the cars have been ridiculously gamebreaking. That’s why I ranked them so high

Ok buddy why is 2017 number 1 trains literally sucked for a while and literally all the vehicles were mid except for the volt bike and why is 2018 in the bottom when the two most expensive vehicles in the game with amazing stats are in that update

If you think his opinion is wrong, why the hell is 2017 on top? The trains were so buggy and they would always derail, it was also impossible to rob, the volt bike became the most broken and ambitious vehicle of the entire game for years, megalodon sucked in stats, and the ATV today is one of the worst vehicles in the game. There’s literally nothing in 2024 that stayed the same from everything 2017 added, everything that got added got removed or revamped.
