As a dedicated women’s wrestling fans since the early 2000’s is incredibly to see how we’ve gotten to have over 10 active major women’s titles. These young fans don’t know but that practically felt impossible when I was growing up idolizing the Divas. We can complain about certain booking decisions but we also have to take a moment, look back and recognize how far we’ve gotten. All those years arguing with the straights over the value of women’s wrestling weren’t wasted.

They don't. They give all the credit to AJ Lee. And it's exactly why I don't like her. Gail Kim spoke out for Women's Wrestling WAYYY before AJ did. And wasn't afraid to stand up directly to Vince McMahon himself. But somehow AJ is somehow everyone's "only" saving grace. 👎🏽
