The video tape in the 80s gas station made me think about the lady who disappeared here from her night shift at a gas station in the 80s. They eventually found her bones up where a bunch of hunters dump their elk carcasses only like 7 years ago. I worked with her nephew when I was a teen , and he swears it was his uncle who did it. His uncle, her husband, bounced out of the country not long after his aunt disappeared. Her disappearance literally changed state law that people can't work alone after 10 pm.

Mothman is known for warning of upcoming disasters like a bridge collapsing. It doesn't cause the disaster, it just shows up, flashes its big red eyes, and leaves. That said, I think this game could've used a little more explanation. Maybe a note or two about people seeing visions of a moth or a cult in the area?

@thejohnquixote
@thejohnquixote Жыл бұрын
@@twisted_tapestry Far too many lol. The most recent one happened about a month ago. It was 10pm on a Saturday night and I had an hour left in my shift. My coworker had just gotten off, so I was by myself until the overnight person came in at 11 to relieve me. No big deal, done it hundreds of times. It was relatively slow, only having a couple customers come in, when, around 10:15, I heard a firetruck siren. Nothing unusual, since the location I currently work at is right off a major road, sirens go off all the time from firetrucks, police, ambulances, ect. as they speed by. However what was unusual, was when I noticed the flashing lights drive directly by the front windows and door, and stopping at the far end of the store. "What the f**k is goin on down there?" I muttered to myself. I couldn't go out and check because people started to pull up and come in. So I had no clue what was going on until one of my regulars came in and asked if I knew what was going on. Told him I had no idea, that the firetruck just showed up. That's when he told me that apparently a guy had caught on fire. ?!? What?!? And please remember I work at place with highly flammable material, so that's not a very good thing to hear lol. He left and after a few more minutes passed the firemen came in and asked if I knew what happened. So I told them all I knew was what that one guy told me. They said yeah... we were hoping to see if we had video of the event, so they could see what had happened. We did... I went into the office and looked up the time frame on the surveillance. Dude was just walking behind the store, when *FHOOM!* dude lights up out of nowhere like the human torch. The fire just erupted from the back of his jacket outta nowhere, as he began to bolt down and around the side of the store, becoming engulfed in flame! MF almost caught my car on fire as he Jack'b'Nimbled his way to the the front! He kept on running and made it out to the parking lot and stripped! He dropped to the ground in the middle of the drive area and got naked! And everyone was just ignoring him! Guys, MF on fire and you just be drivin by like nope, nu-uh, NOT TODAY! Yall wrong for that. Of course my ignorant ass just inside not aware any of this is going on. Meanwhile I got a naked dude running around outside, who almost blew us all up! And that's just one of the many stories I have from working at a gas station. Some funny, some dangerous, and some that ended up with people dead (like the one years ago where the guy I worked with sold a man his last up of coffee [it wasn't the coffee that killed him]). Hope you enjoyed.

@@TheSquareOnes Ugh yes!! Exactly, walking away and just leaving her to her fate while she writhes around with the alarm getting quieter and lights fading is just so creepy. _Road trip!_ The Mothman was in West Virginia, but maybe he likes to travel lol. This game was actually very freaky - the lure of the 'safe' gas station on a dark rural road that are never safe. Things climb in your backseat, ambush you at the pump, attack you in the washroom. Apparently, luring you inside is the worst fate of all. That girl with the one eye gave me chills. Kudos to the dev. And the game was made all the more scary by MBH commentary on how vulnerable you are inching along sideways between tight places.

"Should finally be escaping all this damn corn soon" I have never related to anything more in my life. I drove from Florida to Montana while moving back home, taking highways the whole way to avoid big cities, and I must have driven through at LEAST 300 miles of corn. Probably more. To stay sane as I was going through Arkansas, which was basically nothing but corn as far as I could tell, I started imagining that the economy of these states revolves entirely around corn . You go to Corn-Mart, shelves are nothing but corn. You grab some corn since it's the only option, you head up to the check stand. Oh shit, they don't take money, they only take corn. The giant corn cob cashier looks upon you judgingly for obviously not having any corn to your name.

As a ten year veteran of gas station work, this is entirely a probable scenario for some. Some go crazy, some go bored, some just go for the paycheck, some just want to get drunk or high on the clock, some want to be like the documentaries on court tv and some just want to go to sleep.

Funfact: 36 mart is named with a 36 because "l" and "S" are the 3rd and 6th letters in the alphabet, it was chosen to match that first song you heard in the gas station called "Last stop" which has exactly 36 chords in its score and is 3.6 minutes long.
