technically this is a good system to keep track of the character of a friend, the criteria for everyone is always different since people's likes, dislikes, moral compass, etc. vary and this sort of balances out the toxicity of the transactional relationship. Tho if there is a promise of an award, then that'll defeat the purpose.

It will definitely create transactional relationships and it'll be harder to discern which relationships are genuine and which are fake.
