Elvis had a great sense of humour, which he often used on stage & at rehearsals. Sometimes the music has to take second place to the man himself, so that we can see his amazing personality. Elvis had so much charisma & behind the entertainer was a human being who really was a great blessing to a great many others. He was incredibly generous & would help others when he saw the need in them. He was very humble throughout his entire career. He never got over losing his beloved mother, who died when he was just 22. She was just 46 when she died, & Elvis was just three years into stardom, but he was distraught when she died, & he never recovered from that loss. I think that once she was gone, Elvis became a bit lost himself. His daughter, Lisa Marie, who he had loved dearly, passed recently at the age of 54. She never got over losing her 27 year old son, Elvis’ only grandson. So much tragedy in that one family, & it started the day Elvis was born, when his identical twin brother, born 35 mins before he was born, was born dead. But look what Elvis gave to the world. He gave & gave until his body gave up & he couldn’t give anymore.

He gave one little girl in a wheelchair at a concert the $35,000-$40,000 opal ring off his finger and an hour before a concert visited a little boy in a hospital who he gave the gorgeous garnet cross from around his neck.

Elvis had one child, Lisa Marie Presley, who was lost recently. Lisa was 9 when Elvis died. Lisa had a music career resulting in 3 albums, one of which went gold and all were reviewed well. She occasionally sang with people like Pink and Pat Benetar. Lisa was married 4 times including Michael Jackson and Nicholas Cage. She had 4 children including a son who committed suicide 2-3years ago at age 27. Lisa had 3 daughters remaining leaving Elvis with 3 grandchildren. The name of the oldest is Riley Keough who's an actress who's movies include Mad Max: Fury Road. She's currently the star of the mini-series Daisy Jones and the Six. Riley recently gave birth to a daughter. So Elvis has a great-grandchild.

Women would ripped Elvis' clothes off from when he was really young...he was insanely popular. I think he started giving kisses then. But it is just to make the ladies happy...that's all! At live concerts he also gave out birthday kisses on the cheek to little girls in the audience. My mom tried to get me to go up and get my kiss on the cheek for my 11th birthday but I was too shy to go. Big regrets that I don't have that memory. At least I saw him in concert twice that year. Once in Kansas then in Arizona after we moved that summer. FYI women were lined up all along the stage at those concerts for kisses. Tom Jones would kiss fans on his tv show but don't know about his concerts.

I saw Elvis Presley live at the Norfolk scope Colosseum in 1975, which was five years after this event. Yes, he took time out for his audience and even kissed a handful of girls. I saw women running down the isles to get to the front of the stage. He even commented beforehand that he kissed someone a few days earlier and caught their “creeping crud”. Then he told the audience you have been warned. It did not matter to those women. 😆 It was crazy! Great reaction!

In chapter 36 of her book she says "The International...turned into our home away from home. During his show I always sat at the same table down front, never tiring of watching him perform." Later on in the same chapter she says, "It was the day Elvis suggested I come to Las Vegas less often that I became really upset and suspicious. He'd decided that we wives would attend opening and closing nights only."

Elvis was married at this time but he pretty much always had a girlfriend or more than one and there's usually not a long time in between his more serious girlfriends if any time at all. Elvis' first wife was very young and was the mother of is only child/daughter Lisa Marie. She was in the news earlier this year. She passed away and her burial was shown at Elvis' home/Graceland (he made for his mother). Elvis, his parents, Lisa Marie and her son are all buried there. It is a tourist attraction in TN. I know there were a couple of girls that made the headlines, but he never re-married. Elvis' passed away at a somewhat young age like his daughter.

Yes Elvis was married but she knew how famous he was and she knew it was just him saying thank you in a way they wanted. It is part of his show and he was just giving the fans what they wanted a kiss from Elvis. They also brought rags or something so he can wipe his forehead on it and he did it for them. Yes, Love Me Tender was known as the kissing song! He performed two shows per night for a month at a time in Las Vegas, and the kissing was always part of it. Sometimes, after kissing the girls, he'd look up and say to the guys "Tough way to make a living, boys, I'll tell you...." One time two guys did jump up on stage to attack him, and he was ready to go... he said "Get up here, you ________ I'll fight you..." And yes, I was one who kissed those lips of his many times, and before I was introduced to him I had to tip the head waiter to get a ringside seat! And yes, he was still married when this was filmed. But even when he was dating Linda Thompson (that's when I knew him), of course he still kissed the girls...he always did. Linda understood... c'mon, it was Elvis! You just have to understand the times. Elvis was truly the first superstar icon. Each woman he kissed would remember it for the rest of their lives. They would try not to wash their faces where he kissed them! And Elvis did it just to be kind. He was a very kind person. I used to live in Memphis back in the early 80's and people there still remembered him. I never met a single person who'd had an encounter with him that didn't have something great to say about him. He just was such a generous and caring guy. I knew this one guy who saw Elvis ride up to a gas station he was at on a motorcycle and the guy said "Hey Elvis" and waved and Elvis gave him a ride on his bike. The most famous artist in the world. There's nobody as big as Elvis was now or in your lifetime. Maybe Michael Jackson came close, but not really, because the times were different then. The Beatles were just as famous as Elvis but in a different way.
