He was the first black artist to sell out Fenway Park which holds somewhere between 30 and 40,000 people. It’s crazy because when Beyoncé started branching into other genre s such as house and country everyone was like wtf? But really she had a vision and on each album she collabed with black artist that were already holding their own in that genre. This was great to see. I love how J-Kwon came out in the end and they mashed up both songs with the back and forth (club/bar). But even more I love that Black artists who are outside of Hip Hop and R&B are getting a stage at the BET Awards. Can we do this for all genres? So many talented deserving artists who are making amazing music. We are a multifaceted race and the biggest Stage for the culture should reflect that.
