As somebody who isn't an Eagles fan but was at WrestleMania 40, that was so great to see Jason and Lane in person. I cheered with the Eagles fans in attendance. Great moment!

Football players and wrestling are a natural fit, going back to the days of Bronko Nagurski. Big guys doing athletic feats. The biggest difference between the sports is that, in wrestling, the defense knows the EXACT play the offense is running, so they can sync up their maneuvers. Would love to have been there!

The game you're thinking of at 2:00 is WCW/NWO Revenge. Great game. WWF No Mercy was the last game made in that style, and is still widely considered to be far and away the best wrestling game ever made still over 20 years later.

100 percent agreed they need it at all live sporting events honestly Id rather watch a football game on TV so I don't go to live events anymore. I see more and I get to hear commentary

Disagree. You focus more on the match or game when there is no commentary. That’s why if something exciting happens the crowd explodes. The tv commentary was made for new fans or audience to help them get familiar with a sport. Commentary is for noobs and a distraction for older fans.

The issue with over the air commentary is if the crowd can hear them so can the wrestlers and if you yell out WATCH OUT BEHIND YOU and the guy doesn’t move and then just gets hit then it makes him look bad lol. That’s one of the reasons why they don’t do that.

The reason the live commentary isnt heard in the arena is it would affect the match to much Imagine you have edge in the corner ready for a spear and the entire arena (Including the wrestlers) hear "Edge setting up for the spear" the other wrestler would know the move is coming and it would ruin the performance

The reason commentary is not pumped over the PA is that it will drown out the live crowd. I’ve seen it done on a few smaller shows and every time the companies have regretted doing it because it kills the live crowds enthusiasm.

I disagree on the commentary being heard by the live crowd. At no other sporting event (NFL, MLB, NHL, NBA, etc) are you hearing the commentators/TV broadcasters while in the building live. Commentary is meant for the audience at home. It would disrupt the audience reactions and pops during the matches and event as a whole. Having been to several WWE events live, trust me it's not needed to get the full experience and understand what's going on.
