When Olivia mentions having the cards, but just not in her hand, it reminded of a time something like thar happened to me. It was after a game where someone said my Yarok landfall deck was good, but needed some cards, the only one I can remember them mentioning was Craterhoof. So I proceed to show them that my deck has every card they mentioned I just didn't draw them.

Brad might be a nice person but have to say of all the guests he's the one I least want to see back. That conversation early where he was talking about deck building and how he likes winning and wouldn't want to play the deck if the infinite combos are gone is a real turn off. And at the end of the game where he says you're dead next turn anyway and how of the many ways I have will I kill you, it's like just take your extra turn play hoof and win the boasting isn't necessary

I know this comment is way late, but I figured better late than never 😂 As a huge Wandering Archaic fan, technically there should've been a copy of walk the aeons for Jeremy(?) each time Brad(?) cast it. Jeremy misread the card, saying he had to pay 2 to get the copy, when actually it reads that the caster must pay 2 or else the Archaic controller gets to copy it. Brad had about a bazillion mana by then so it probably didn't matter, but still 😂 Also, I love the lurking predators triggers not being missed 😂 another one of my absolute favorite cards, glad to see it get some love :)

One of my friends has a deck that has a few different wincons in it that win quick. He has all the wincons written on an index card, doesn’t use tutors and won’t use the same wincon until he has used all the rest. It’s a fun deck to play against!

Saying people need new decks is why people struggle to enter commander and stay in commander or maybe its just me. I got told i needed a new deck after i played edric once and i quit playing commander because i put all my extra money into making the deck my favorite arts foils etc. So lets not alienate people just because you dont like their deck etc im sure there are more people like myself out there.

@@brandon6189 Maybe the mistake here was to put some extra money into a foiled out deck as a very first commander deck. Another mistake (one i made myself) is to tell new players its ok to use proxies, and then be surprised when they play what would be a >15,000$ deck XD

I owned the majority of the cards minus a capture, and some of the new ultra secret supet mega bs printings wizards has comes out with. So i bought them. How is that a mistake? 2 supporting proxies is a whole seperate issue bigger than just commander. Yhe more we accept it as mtg players in general the more issues it opens up.

I know that he is new, but I had to stop watching about 15 minutes into the episode because I knew exactly where this was going. I enjoy the show, however one of the main turnoffs is that the power level between decks is just all over the place. I rarely get a chance to play commander as I work nights, so I try and watch as much KZbin content as I can, but I won't lie but I've had to turn off more than one episode because it was to one sided. I understand wanting people to play and do what they want, but as a viewer I want to see the potential for all decks, not just watching someone essentially play solo magic. I applaud what you two are doing to help spread magic to the masses and hope that the show continues to grow.

Another good one❤️ I'd recommend trying budget builds for competitive players like Brad. You don't really have to figure out how to not be spikey while deckbuilding. Set yourself a limit of 1$ per card and a maximum of 5 counterspells, then build the most powerful thing you can come up with...

Critical play error: Jeremy would get a copy of Walk the Eons automatically *unless* Brad pays 2 for each casting. Jeremy forgot it was a tax card: the Archaic doesn’t ever have to do a thing.

for Ffreak, I have to recommend my favorite commander. Ghave guru of spores. What I have done is that my infinite combos are super super expensive and there isn't expensive ramp to get their fast. So the deck plays mid range controlly and then suddenly I simply stumple into a combo through the accumulation of value pieces.

I feel like Brad's not swinging is a thing many of us (me, too when the game is running long or going wide) for whatever reason, aren't ready to swing until we have 250 power on the board or something and not a point of dmg sooner. I hypothesize that, if we love our decks (and I think we do), we want everyone to see as much of it as possible. Just a guess, tho. GGs all around. Thanks for playing.

I feel like playing a lot of constructed on arena, made me a better magic player. And playing edh made playing magic fun. So I feel like playing edh, after playing a lot of standard and such, make edh such a better experience. Cause I dont feel like Im missing triggers(of course playing a new deck and such makes one miss things), and I have a genuine grasp on the game, which I feel like at least some people in the pod needs. I dont mean this allows me to say what people want to target/play, but allows for a smoother experience. And also I love this game cause even though Ive played it for a long time, there are still moments where its like, "how does this interaction work", and the whole table discuss it find a solution. what Im trying to say, is I love commander, and after discovering it, I havent look back at trying to assemble standard decks:D
