What's extra funny is they had lethal if they just let the swing go through. If I didn't swing they could just give the channeler flying and even pop with fortress so I had nothing to lose everything to gain by them goofing up... and they did! xD

I've been using a variation of this deck and I'm surprised at how consistent it plays. It rarely leaves you with nothing to do and, even if it does, the game is interesting. It generates very little frustration, which is a blessing.

Couldn’t agree more. Mono black is in a very good spot rn. The only thing I find hard is the Atraxa matchup (esp with the beanstalk) because black can’t handle the leylines or beanstalks but other than that (and it’s still winnable) there are no “dead” matchups 😇

This deck looks more like a BO3 deck where you can go full into kill card or discard based on matchup on round 2

@@richardmenz3257 for sure! This one is sort of hedging a bit which I don’t mind because liliana can discard those cards you don’t need. But Bo3 allows for max flexibility

Definitely had to have 1 in the deck because Shelly is iconic but I get ya! Plus there’s tons of 4 drops to focus on because of Beseech the Mirror which is super fun! I’m sure I missed a 4 drop or two to tutor

I had a massacre girl deck before and drown in ichor and black sun twilight worked well as removal also

I did also use a treasure map to ramp/scry and drown in ichor could proliferate it

They sure could! xD They should have just let it go through. I decided to swing because they could have given the channeler flying anyway by paying so I had nothing to lose everything to gain by swinging and hope they misplayed... which they did! xD

you can also try to add green and make creatures fight ;) also consider gnawing vermin and specter of mortality. Green also allow you to destroy art/enchantments

I like the specter of mortality call there. I was debating on going with that 4 cmc sorcery that gives everything -x/-x since I could tutor it with Beseech the Mirror as well! Plenty of wiggle room with this build. :)

i run the massacre waifu since it came out in my mono black control, no idea why this card is so underrated. most ppls dont understand how it works, specially with the "if this dies give another creature those counters" i saw a lot ppls killing their boards with that wither effect - great card, stable till it rotates in my decks for sure.
