As a puppy Mama, with a kitty, I can really relate to the dog hair. The worst is getting out of the shower, grabbing your towel and starting to dry yourself. Feeling good and clean and BAM! you glance down and find you have now grown fur all over every part of your body that is dry. ARG!! I am a DIYer!! Why buy something I can build/create for myself? Squeeze Brandi, Squeeze. Build up those muscles. I think you nailed each of the dupes, awesome job! Have a great weekend gal.

The Crop-A-Dile people (We R Memory Keepers) totally need to make a wire cutter! Do you have one or have ever used it? If not, you'll love it just like the heat gun and now you can say that you've been educated on another ah-mazing tool. That thing punches holes in everything from fabric to tin effortlessly! I have dexterity issues so I need all the help that I can get. If they'd apply that same wizardry 😉 to a wire cutter there'd be no more struggle. 1st video out of the playlist and your question is a tough one. When I was a little girl (I just turned 50 😱 yesterday) I started out with cross stitching and always loved arts and crafts projects in church and girl scouts. As I got older, I learned how to do more types of crafts and then evolved into doing DIY projects. Lately my love of tools and exploration of power tools has me leaning towards more DIY'ing. So I legit am both a crafter who constantly cross stitches but also a DIY'er who just built a lantern and refinished a nite stand. I haven't watched your decoupage video yet so forgive me if you already know this but I like to dip a small paintbrush into water and then "paint" onto the paper or napkin where I want to achieve the torn edges. Shims are a pain in the *tush* and are a lot more work so why didn't you use paint sticks instead? It turned out fabulous of course but all of that sanding, unevenness, etc. would have drove me bonkers! Which reminds me of another tool you should get that would have helped with this project: miter shears. I live in Atlanta, Georgia and we don't have any Christmas Tree Shops so where are you located again? As always I loved your video and your projects, TFS, be 🙏🏼 blessed and stay 😷 safe
@thediystruggle3 жыл бұрын
I do not have one of them! I deff think I need to look into getting that, thank you Melissa! Paint sticks are REALLY CLEAN looking. I am a BIG BIG BIG FAN of rustic warn or aged looking items. It is a personal preference, but I totally think paint sticks would have also done the trick. I also feel like paint sticks have a finish on them and they do not suck up paint as well as the shims. But they are uneven and if your the kind person who it does bother then deff dont use them...lol Mitre shears I am drawing a blank. I might have those I am going to google them after I finish the comment...lol Thank you for all the great information my friend. Sorry it is taken me so long to respond. my comments are out of control...lol

Hmm your question of “ Are you a crafter or DIYer ?” Is a tough one. Maybe I am a little of both. Because I do look at something and think about how I can remake it! Your dupes were really so nice. I was so amazed at the bird decoupage picture. It really turned out beautifully. 💜

I think I am a bit of both, crafter and DIY'er I am a retired veteran, no I didn't retire from the military, wishing now I did. But trying to live on social security is a joke. But I like for my home to look nice and due to pure stupidity on my part (long story) I lost so much over the last 10 or 15 years I am starting from scratch. So I want to make things to make my home look nice, and doing so I give myself something to do. So it's a win-win if you ask me!!! I love channels like yours that do things that are not all Farmhouse. Anyway thanks for doing the Dupes, it will help with my decor!!
