I assume you just started your A Levels. Please don’t worry, no one is expecting you to get great grades at the start. I got an 8 in my GCSE science, and at the start of year 12 I couldn’t get any higher than a D. I’m now year 13 and a few marks of an A in my most recent mock. The markscheme is probably the most difficult part of the exam, it is very specific. However you do adjust to it and you get used to the markscheme. Don’t panic.

I got an A star in alevel bio. I didn't even make notes. Just read the textbook, went through marking schemes and had a pdf of notes for bio which was extremely helpful. Started studying less than a month before my exam.

Out of all the videos I've watched this is the most detailed one that resonate with me thank youuu💫 I generally love biology that's why I decided to further it in A levels and medicine is my desired future career but I only remember when I write over notes so i have like 2 books for biology and now I'm going over the topics and making more notes because my exams are around the corner 😫 anyway thank you for your advice they'll be very useful to me in my year 2 and even now as I revise 💕

We have to leave after lessons so can’t even ask teachers unless it’s on emails, and as we missed so much of year 12 we don’t have time to finish year 12 content so we won’t ever be teached that we have to move onto the year 13 content :((

NO NO YOU WON’T FAIL!! You have time, just break down what you need to do and use any holidays to catch up. I personally love watching KZbin videos on any topics I’m stuck on, then writing really brief revision notes and following all these tips. I know how overwhelming it can seem but i promise it gets easier you just have to stick at it and your be fine!

Just wanted to put this out there to people who got 4-5 at GCSE that it’s not the end of the world!! There’s still Brighton, Exeter, Plymouth, and Bristol (you need a 7 in maths at least but if you show a solid alevel/ucat and extra-curricular background then ur worth the place!!) For the other 3, just work your entire backside off in college/sixth form!! TIP: Make your notes VERY closely with the spec esp at alevel so they key words will be etched in ur memory

Do you think we can get an A by only revising from revision guide and doing practice paper? Does revision guide go through everything we need to know for exams?

My teacher always said the revision guide has enough information to get a low A, I think its best to work from the revision guide and your teachers notes and practice papers. Just because the guides do skip so important information that you will need to know. Hope this helps and good luck!

Hey I'm really sorry to hear that, I know how frustrating it can be. I would say try and completely new style of revision (I would try practice questions and papers if your not already doing this) sometimes what you need is a real mix up. Still stick with your current revision style slightly but just try something new whenever you can and see how this works! Hope that helps xx
