The world is so different now. Imagine in 1990 what would have happened if someone represented a huge tech company while just sitting in a chair with his arms slumped down wearing a t-shirt. Oh, no, that wouldn't have worked. Even if it were possible to video conference, you'd still have to be in a good suit at the end of a conference room table keeping up that professional experience. So nice that we can just focus on the task at hand and try to get down to competence instead of just appearance now. The tech guys running the show is the new world.

Great job Tim. Great questions and a very interesting interview. I've only watched it twice, but it will most likely get several more plays as many of your videos do.

@@rasimbot it's been postponed by two years, so not before 2023, if they don't New Shepard it, and are further along on it than Blue Moon, which NASA found very unlikely they could deliver on time.

Blue Origin is still faster than SLS. At least the dildo does go up and down. :D. Apparently reusing shuttle technology (including already used engines that belong in a museum rather than be scrapped) was meant to speed up things and keep costs low. Go figure. SpaceX and Rocket Labs must really be spending lots of money developing these brand new techs. SLS is such a boondoggle. *PS* By "having the engines "scrapped" I mean using them on a non-reuseable rocket. It's a complete waste of engines with historical value other than their proven track record. They should be either on a museum or mounted on a reusable rocket.... not on a booster that will end in the ocean.

it certainly better than casual journalist, but this want actual rocket since, just some basics. You can't do more in 30 min interview nonetheless

Early release is in a different place but still people watch it there and then come here to comment when it actually drops. not saying that accounts for all of the early commenters but is a likely explanation.

Great interview, Tim! I wonder why is the 2nd stage so hard to recover. Velocity is velocity, but the atmosphere is going to slow it down anyway. Maybe one day with better materials, who knows. Peter is a great person to listen to, always so interesting.
