I tint every car I've owned. Helps a lot in Phoenix's summer and I enjoy the privacy / blacked out look. On my refresh M3 LR I tinted all the windows including back glass limo tint , 70 percent on windshield with limo strip on top. I also got sun shades for the roof they have helped a lot especially since I never was into sun / moon roofs

I love my cyber truck! And I’m one of the lucky ones, I would say 99% of the people I encounter are really shocked, and they don’t even realize it’s a truck until I explained it to them. But everything has been positive for me, no hate. Thank God! One of the things I will say is I’ve had a model Y performance with the 21 inch wheels, which is more of a sports car than an SUV. So it kind of rides a little hard because of the tires. This truck feels extremely different. It feels like a marriage of a really big vehicle on the inside with sports car.-ish performance. The ride is smooth, and almost too relaxing. . FSD takes a relaxation up even higher. I’ve taken three road trips with it already. And it makes me wanna buy a travel trailer now. I love this truck.

Couldn’t you argue that if they can see what’s inside and there’s nothing to steal, they’re less likely to break in? I see cars leaving their trunks open in San Francisco for this reason.

This is helpful information. I see so many people tinting the front windows… I am afraid of getting pulled over. Do you recommend tinting anyway?

Go with something a little lighter! Like 55 is great.

Chris I love your videos but have some questions about your scientific method. You tested the Cybertruck stock glass out in the sunlight. Then you tested a totally different vehicle inside. Wouldn't it be much more accurate if you did the test on the same window before and after in the same environment? I am guessing the device uses its own light source for the test but outside sunlight could be a factor. But with all this said, it's great to know that stock Cybertruck provides a lot of protection without tint. My kiddos will be safe in the back and will give me some extra time to decide on what tint I want if any. Thanks again for the great video!

Oh that was just for measurement so inside or outside doesn’t matter. The real test was the infrared bulb. Haha

I personally prefer 30-30% on the front driver/passenger windows because I drive in the night a lot. The 15% makes it a bit harder to see when you need to check through your side view mirrors.

That’s the first I’ve seen that camera housing is removed when tinting windshield. What’s the advantage of doing this?

Chris - how much did you get charged. Any discount code? Did you get yours wrapped? I noticed there is clear wrap which I am tempted based on all this talk about finger prints and not being able to clean dirt easily.

How much did it cost to tint the entire truck?

Depends where you go but for the xpel ceramic it was over 1k for all the windows. Most expensive was the windshield

It is not cheap MY windshield was $400 for Xpel 75% nano ceramic. Well worth it in CA

Are you not in CA? Tinting the front side windows is illegal. The state limit is 80% which is why it’s factory tinted to 80% Also, the 8.9% difference between factory glass and aftermarket tint is a huge waste of money for such a small return. Tinting any Tesla is purely an aesthetic endeavor. Parking any car outdoors for 6 hours isn’t going to make a difference whether it’s tinted or not (as Chris says in the video). So save your money
