I was born in Tucson and came back to stay over 40 yrs ago. Great place to live and play but don't fall for all those tales concerning the weather because...it's a dry heat!

Left my car in my garage for over a week while I was on vacation. came back drove it 2 days no issues. on the third day hooked up my 12v fridge (that ive used before no issues) 20 minutes later a slew of error codes... VCFRONT_a192 BMS_a170 BMS_a027. BMS_a035. UI_a114 DI_a227. might of been the perfect storm to destroy my 12v, my car is 4 years old, bought it 3 months ago, I'm really hoping its just the 12v battery, have no idea if the previous owner replaced it. service appointment set for the 17th. I don't trust the 12v in my 2018 long range model 3 after this, scary error codes and I live 2.5 hours from the nearest service center. I can't risk using a 12v fridge in my car again... I even found the perfect fridge that fit behind my passenger seat.

Been to so many of those stops on way to/from NY to CA…..what is that freezer/fridge in the trunk?? Crazy Quartzite charger - 30+ stalls and only one fast food joint.

Just found your videos when I searched Tesla Road-trips. I’ve been wanting to take my 1 year old Model Y on one and your Oregon and AZ videos were both so detailed and informative. Enjoying your content especially with the dogs. Looking forward to you posting more road trip vids (maybe Simba needs to visit Yosemite!) 😜

Hi Chris. First I love your videos. I love that you take your dogs everywhere wit you. I just got my model Y performance just to do roadtrips with my two dogs. My question: my battery died under warranty and was told they put a new battery in it (wish I knew how to tell). Well this was last week. Then I noticed that I was only getting 266 miles!! A new battery should be at least 300. Based on your experience it seems like I just need to be patient until the battery calibrate. But did you do anything different? Did you drop to less then 10% and charge back to 100% a few times to help it?
@EverydayChris Жыл бұрын
Check my battery died video! Same thing happened. They use the old batteries that have less miles but it gets better after driving

hey Chris.. great video. I used your videos to help with accessories and general knowledge when purchasing my 2022 model 3 long range. loving it. Quick question.. I've been on the fence about purchasing an external power supply for emergency power. I found several on Amazon. Do you think this would be worth it and keeping it in the trunk.. like on your trip here.. where there aren't many chargers.. could be useful. Maybe a good topic for a new video! Please let me know what you think and keep up the great work!! :)

I thought of that but it’s not strong enough to charge a Tesla. Those giant solar ones may work

interesting watch. waht is the reason the better route planner just doesnt tell you to charge up to 90-100%? i mean if you need to charge a bunch of times to get to your destination don't you just reduce # of stops if you charge to 90-100%?
@EverydayChris2 жыл бұрын
It’s because charging above 70 takes a lot longer so it’s quicker to charge a lttle

Chris, I wanted to thank you putting these videos out. I like how you answer most of the questions I would have. For instance, I liked how you showed today that it is best to input 1 destination at a time from ABRP to Tesla. I was struggling with that a bit on my road trips. That Alset tray really looks cool. I know that a lot of your videos and tips can apply to any Tesla. But can you let me know if there is any such similar channel that provides tips and accessories for a Model X
