I took my mom and brother to the restaurant last Friday when I was home and we all looooooved it!!!! My mom is very very plain when it comes to food so to see here eating the egg rolls and everything else and to see her reaction made my night. Possibly one of the best restaurants I’ve had all year! And the service from the waiter was AMAAAZING.

I’ve gone to Lillie Pearl many times and the menu changes and we have never been disappointed. It definitely doesn’t feel like a black owned restaurant besides the music usually oldies. They own another restaurant called ML Steak. It’s more upscale gives you a black owned feel and the food is delicious!!!

I wondered about that when I saw mostly white customers. But no complaints because usually it’s the other way around. Good to see a black own business not struggling.

The owner of this restaurant owns the one across from Lilly Pearl called, buttermilk and chicken. Their food is good too

First and foremost I am a big fan and enjoy your content. We went to Lillie Pearl’s after church today and had mixed reactions. The food was a 4 in our opinion. It was tasty and unique. The server was a 3.5. She was polite but not engaging. Music was too loud for a Sunday brunch. Sounded like Saturday night! The biggest thing was the decor and ambiance-2.5 rating. Looks better on YT! Could not believe the horrendous condition of the floors-1.0! Parking access is a 2.5. Bottom line, you were kind. While it was ok, we would not go back. 👍🏽for Houston. Used to live there. Loved it! Still a big fan!

It's not really hate with some people & cilantro. There's a gene that some people carry which makes cilantro taste sort of like shampoo, dish detergent or soapy. My youngest son & I both apparently have it, so I can't honestly say that I hate cilantro, since I don't actually know what it really taste like
