Lol Claire, when you taped the ball on top of the cup…for a second it looked like it was floating. I was thinking “oooh Claire is getting fancy with her editing!”

Adorable Claire, I love working with DAS. A wee tip for you: baby oil on your finger or anything else you want to mold around, will prevent sticking and you can also use it for smoothing out lines - I find it works better than water.

If you make a foil ball you can use a pair of pointy nosed pliers to pull out the foil. It's a bit of work but worth it. Then you can put a battery operated tealight candle inside your ghost, flickering looks best 😊

Claire, you’re so fun to listen to while watching you get creative. I didn’t realize Ghosts were the “thing” this year…. I love Halloween 👻, so I’ll try some air dry clay ghosts. Ooooo, but the Good ole DAS Clay has me often frustrated. I cannot tell you how much is sitting about. I guess it’s Big Ghosts this year. I’ll pop it on your Instagram, or how are we supposed to show ‘“Claire made me do it?”’ P.S. Thanks for the Shout Out about dealing with mental health.

These are really cute. Airdry clay is fun to work with. How cool would the little ones be as a mobile, floating in air? 👻
@Becka.M-D Жыл бұрын
7:45 Would it be worth measuring the length of your finger that you plan to use & use that measurement to cut out a circle with a cutter, mug, glass or anything that would create a clear circle so that you can drape it straight over your finger & not have the join lines to smooth out? Any left overs could be smooshed together & rolled out to cut out more circles. If you wanted a more accurate sheet over a person effect, maybe cut the clay into rectangles.

Hello Claire. It turned out to be a very beautiful ghost, congratulations to you. If you'll excuse me, I have a criticism. You've wasted a lot of clay by making a big ball with clay. Instead of a large ball of clay, you could make one out of paper or aluminum foil. This ball you made would be a filler ball. You could have obtained a ball of the same size by covering the filler ball with clay that is only 4-5 mm thick. This way you could save almost 50% of the total clay you use.

How do you store your unused air dry clay without it drying out?
@mizzuzie3338 Жыл бұрын
I put mine first in a ziploc/plastic bag and then I put that in an old Tupperware as well.
@stephiecreates Жыл бұрын
@@mizzuzie3338 how long can you usually store it for? Mine always dries out before I finish using it.
@mizzuzie3338 Жыл бұрын
@@stephiecreates I have had DAS for 3 months and some brands of airdry clay that's still ok after 6 months but that's the more lightweight kind. I usually take as much DAS as I think I need at once and put the rest in storage right away. Then I keep the bit I'm about to use under a piece of clingfilm on a moist paper towel.
@MixedMediaArtsAndCrafts Жыл бұрын
@stephiecreates I always keep whatever is left over in it's original packaging. Fold down the bag, then I pop it into a ziplock bag, along with a baby wipe. The baby wipe will keep the atmosphere within the ziplock bag moist and in turn, helps stop the clay from drying out.
