@@vynz4366 chalter and blue poison are 2 completely different archetypes and focus on 2 different things. Chalter is for clearing out a massive HP high armored mobs in an aoe with her s3. Whereas blue poison is more suited for a small waves of low armored mobs, has better default range and focusses on drones first before anything else. If you don't have exusiai, archetto then yes. Go pick blue poison or platinum

12:34 - Something you failed to mention about Zima's S2. She doesn't just buff every vanguard on the field's ATK and DEF, she also applies the 1 DP on kill buff to all vanguards on the field. This effectively gives all vanguards on the field the trait that normally only charger vanguards have.

For new players, Lappland is more valuable than Spectre. The ability to defy death sounds great on paper, but it's more stable and easier to do defender + medic to tank bosses. Lappland's ability to silence is very helpful in the earlier chapters, and having a ground sniper that can convert physical to arts makes Lappland irreplaceable for progression, even for chapters that have silence-immune but high defence enemies. Spectre really comes online at E2 S2M3 where she gets 3 block and a decent uptime on S2, which requires significant investment for a new player; but Lappland already hits her powerspike at E1 SL7. Spectre's base skill is useless, but Lappland's base skill is very useful when combined with Texas and Exusiai, and is fairly meta trading post combination. Finally, Spectre is obtainable through Recruit, but Lappland isn't. Lappland is significantly more difficult to obtain as a result.

Silence isn't her only feature. Lappland is so busted during the early game especially because her S2 deal ARTS dmg while being ground units. Who doesn't know how busted an arts dmg. it's like you have another pseudo caster, especially during the stage which prohibits caster.

Spectre is basically used for high risk CC tanking. I don't think she is that common anymore, but back in the day she was irreplaceable. It's not as relevant to new players though, and the stun will probably troll them...

@@luc4907 the order of arknights Global does not follow the order of CN exactly but we'll get around to it eventually. they rename some things sometimes like the chinesse new year log in events or whatever. but we get the events. they did FAR more shuffling in Year 1 anniversary, which is why we got 2 limited operators so close together (skadi alter and chen alter) so that CN could get a limited for their anniversary (skadi) and we get chen for our anniversary. without messing with the schedule as much. we only lost two minor events this time, vigilio and a rerun which can be shoved wherever.. and will probably fill some dead week slot in the near future after the 3 week farming event ends.

i do want to add something for blue poison: as a bp simp, i have her completely maxed. e2 80, m6, pot 6, trust 200%, etc. her arts damage is basically negligible compared to her main attack. compared to *any* caster, except burst and drone casters not on skill, her arts damage is nothing (85 per hit at pot 5, 255 if she does not attack that enemy again). to sum it up, her arts damage is not her main point, and barely qualifies as a side point. her main specialty is multi target. this multitarget is so much more noticeable and effective than the measly 85 arts damage that gets tacked on to her 500 or so attack (~1k to two targets at s1m3, ~750 to three targets at s2m3, plus another 750 to her main target).

I minor thing to consider: If you plan on pulling on the respective banners, Meteorite, Provence, Platinum and Manticore will be rate up operators within 6 months. Plus, you might get Mizuki as an alternative to Manticore and having said that, it wouldn't be unwise to wait until near expiration date until you redeem in the off chance you get the same operator again through other means.

Nah, I think Kukki's placement was correct given that he was considering the choice from a new player's perspective. Speaking as someone who actually did start the game with Meteorite back during Under Tides, I thought she would be a perfect companion to Exusiai (my first 6-star). However, early on Meteorite's damage output wasn't high enough to justify her DP cost, which pre-Myrtle was hard to pay for. Consequently, I wound up benching her for Meteor and then Platinum who both yielded a bigger ROI prior to E2 and had a much easier time progressing. However, now that I can realistically pull operators up to E2 and build their skill levels, I've found myself looking at her increasingly favorably. So, given how late Meteorite peaks, I'd place her in the middle tier of the list: strong character, but usually not one to seek immediately.

I kinda had the opposite of Philosogamer, teaming Meteorite with 12f, Lava, Gitano, and a hecka a lot of vanguards... It was a very strong combo early game, but there's less and less massed rushes as the game moves on, or they are a bunch of medium enemies and a couple real big chonkers that do better with rapid single targets to just keep numbers down so they dont overwhelm your defender's block count.

@@ThePhilosogamer Well tbf, Meteorite is a bad pick for Under Tides event. Try using her on something like Annihilation 2 or 3 map, and you will see her true worth (or if you start sooner, she can annihilate the annoying RB6 never ending mob rush for you). She is an AoE sniper. She is the best pick when you need to fight a large wave of enemies (she can even deal damage to high armored enemies if you invest on her skill). Her raw power will benefit you if you use her on the right map. And for newbies, she is the best pick out of the pool for AoE dps need. A bit of high cost tip of making Meteorite busted: Pick her S1, then bring Ch'en (the guard one) and Archetto with her. Annihilation 3 map is the perfect map for this setup as Meteorite will melt those thicc Defense Crushers. Skill 1 >>> Skill 2 most of the time btw

As someone that has played for just a little over a year and didn't get the luxury of owning SA or Thorns until at least 7 months into playing the game, Lappland is a lifesaver in the early game. Even in the late game she is still good because her Wolf Spirit can tear through things like heavy defenders, which is something SA or Thorns can't compete with unless they're maxed out.

S1 is consistent drop and forget skill while s2 brings a powerful burst of death that rivals that of even Archetto which is considered an upgrade to blue poison, still, for the longest time my go to sniper operators was exusiai and blue poison. Until Ash came, which in my opinion says a lot about Blue Poison as a potent power house of a sniper.

I created a arknight smurf account and for beginners Lappland and Silence is the best 2 pick so far because of their early e1 powerspike and thier synergy in many comps. Early-on in the the game the main struggle is that of a lack of versetality/flexibility in team composition. For example, when many heavy unit come on the map and your only good option is amiya or maybe even that you dont have the mats to raise another medic...for x reason. 1 lappland : E1 can do art damage, hit drones, and for the lane holding potential. 2 Silence : drones relieves a hot of pressure from any pat of the map Early dp generation isnt something to worry about yet. (Pre Patriot ark) so no elysium

To me everyone on the second tier (except for Warfarin, who i'd replace with Silence to complete what Im about to say) is far more important and game changing than Specter. The reason being, not because Specter lacks in power, but from experience, once you get Blaze you will hardly ever use Specter again (I mean you CAN, but you wont need to in the least), save for the few moments where you need her undying skill, BUT, not only is that easy to work around, but once you get Surtr, you wont need even that aspect of her anymore. And the reason Im saying this is because Surtr and Blaze are both meta units and very popular waifus, most players aim for them. Now that the "why she might not be as good on the long run" is done, lemme explain why the others ARE: Any of the others I mentioned who imo are better, are operators that basically cant be replaced: Lappy has nobody that silences so easily, literally on every auto, with a huge dps of arts dmg, you cant replace her eevn with 6* Ptilopsis has one of the best talents in the game, I mean she cuts down the CD time of every operator globally by 30%, just by being deployed, its just not getting replaced. Silence has no other medic that can cover so much map with high amounts of AOE healing periodically. BP is the best mixed dmg sniper that also shines at multitargeting, at least at mixed dmg she doesnt get bested, even Exu is kinda wack with huge armored unless buffed. And Platinum is the only sniper to permanently go into an AOE sniper range. I feel none of these get replaced, because I literally have all the 6* I wanted and still dont stop using these 5*.

Yes, but FEater can only do so at M3. Kukki’s video is mostly aimed at new players who can’t really afford to be M3-ing skills. Plus, in most stages where you use pushers, the difference in force-3 and force-2 doesn’t change the outcome.

It was something along the lines of, with the correct timing, activating both their skills to push enemies much further away than they would be with Weedy's S3 alone, and therefore deal more true damage to them.

I think something people don't mention about Warfarin enough is that if an enemy dies in her healing range she and a random operator in that range will get 2sp. It's AMAZING for operators using offensive or defensive sp charge skills, or just in general. I sometimes deploy Warfarin just for the talent, then retreat and redeploy her to use the 90% atk buff (and the buff is also busted and amazing). Such an underrated medic, I cannot recommend her enough. Imo? Specter > Warfarin = Ptilopsis, as in I think they're equals as operators.

looks like my choices are narrowed down to Warfarin, Lappland, and Blue Poison. I already have a Specter, Platinum, and Ptilopsis, and a few of the lower tier units on the list, I really want FEater, but she'll come to my account eventually. my account started really strong, I only own 3 6 stars; SilverAsh, Ch'en, and Ch'en alt and I'm a newer f2p player so I prefer getting new units instead of pots. Not to mention most of the units on the can be obtained through recruitment so I might go with Lappland here

I would personally swap Nearl and Warfarin. Warfarin has huge power on paper, but she has one huge problem. Most all of her strength becomes incredibly RNG if more than one target is in her range. This makes her placement hugely awkward on many maps and often means you also need to bring a second medic since she's rammed up the butt of one dps. The positioning requirements and extra team slots she often requires, along with not allowing Medic ban in CC means she's a hard fit into a lot of map comps. She can be immensely powerful, but she's like Aak in that you have to jump through a fair few hoops to get it deployed. Warfarin isn't very good early in the game when you have no great dps (and her healing mode tends to squander charges quickly and not have enough to hold hard waves), but she's also pretty outclassed later in the game when you have collected powerhouse buffers/debuffers who aren't as pain in the ass to use. Nearl, on the other hand, is very simple and very reliable. Lots of CC strats love banning medics since there's like one big powerhouse in that category with Kaltsit. Healing defenders unlock a lot of smaller team size strats also by compressing the front liner with the medic role along with being flexible healers as ground operators. Since Saria is often also busy being buffer with her S3, having a second medic defender is really still pretty important. Nearl is also a big upgrade over Gummy due to her below 50% clause, which prevents her from squandering heals needlessly unlike Gummy who is often out of charges during the big wave. Platinum might also be a tad high. She's still not a true anti armor physical damage dealer, unlike something like Schwarz or Silver Ash, and will still usually not do well if hardened enemies show up. Her long range can cheese some maps, but it's super map dependent and not that common. Due to lacking multitarget, she also can still be prone to being overrun by huge drone waves, which is one of the most lethal things drones actually do. Platinum has her stages where she shines, but plenty where she isn't noticeably better than other sniper picks. I feel like BP is significantly more effective in day to day random maps due to her reliable constant multitargeting.

New players aren't going to consider "medic bans" or squad size compression, these are all tech decisions that are only relevant to endgame players. Medic bans are also really not that common for W1R18 clears. Gummy and Spot are considered really great medic defenders specifically there are almost no scenarios in game where you need Nearl over running these two that new players need to consider, and have lesser investment involved to be useful.

I wouldn't move Nearl up to be honest. Nearl's healing is great, and the global healing buff is awesome, but her abilities to actually tank as a Defender are pretty mediocre. At max level max trust, she only has 625 DEF, which is worse than Cuora at E1 L60. When she's only good at half her job (remember Healing AND Defender), I think it's perfectly reasonable to place her where she is.

You generally don't need medic defenders for normal content since you have the time and deploy size to field actual medics. Nearl might be a pick more for challenge content, but the same can be said of Specter, since most non challenge content doesn't need hard invincibility. Same for warfarin and buffing. Same with Ptlopsis. If your strategy doesn't hinge on specific sp timings/interactions, she's little different to perfumer.

It ultimately comes down to she can heal a lot in a short but totally uncontrolled burst, which a lot of other medics can do. Unlike damage, extra healing when you don't really need it doesn't do much at all. Medic defenders have replacements, but you need medic defenders in hard content, where Nearl's strengths make her preferable to her lower rarity counterparts.

yall really are forgeting about the hellidrop cabaplities that specter have. S2M3 only needs 5 SECONDS to activate, so basically specter is an AOE gaurd with powerful survivability and lane holding capablities and a lot of potiential puffs from other AHs, and she can be used as heelidrop with massive melee damage (~2K damage), she is very versatile and powerful in all of her aspects. she is even better than some of the 6* in the game

I'd put BP and Lappland one tier above and Specter down one tier. Since this is for beginner, BP and Lappland are more easy to use on early to mid game. Specter is strong but in early game, nothing can really one-shot your operator and her skill timing can be hassle. Any 3* defender or 4* Cuora can hold the enemy just fine.

1 thing I didn't hear mentioned about Specter and kind of a big deal, is that she blocks 3 at E2. Something guards aren't supposed to be doing, only defenders. (minus the champion defenders) The only other guard in the game to block 3 is Blaze, which is the 6 star version of specter (in a way)

I strongly agree on Warfarin since she's a really good medic and buffer but I also recommend Silence too since she has a skill that spawns a drone that heals on area but u need a good vanguard operator that generates dp to keep using that skill.

For me, the best suit for a newbie should be lappland. Yes, specter is a busted operator but it comes with lots of investment. 1. Aoe guard shines starting from E2. Lappland on the other hand already useful since E1 (unlock her skill 2) 2. Cost for an aoe guard is rather big compared to a regular ranged guard. So you need a good vanguard to generate enough DP for her. 3. Unkillable is indeed powerful but as a newbie, if you died, better place another defender to replace it. 4. Both of them are good at Potential 5 but lappland doesnt need to be potential 5 to be good. Specter will be good if you get potential 5. You need that 12% max HP to stand against strong opp because you doesnt want to be killed while you still have 50% HP. The skill shines the most if you activate it while in red rather than green. So Pot 5 specter is a mandatory for her. Unless you fight mobs. 5. Both of them are good at S2M3. but specter usage is rather situational (if you encounter big opp or just to stall powerful opp) but lappland S2 usage is universal. The main feature of Lappland S2M3 is the art damage, especially in the early stage. It's like you have a caster but in-ground. It's busted. Even veterans know how powerful arts dmg are.

Im really thorn between Lappland, Platinum and Blue poison, Lappland seem really good for me, and im confident i will find a lot of uses for her, BP and Plat because i really lack a secondary sniper, Exulsai can manage very well herself, but in some maps where i would need more coverage i wouldnt mind them, Platinum is my go to because i love her art and her range, but i cannot sleep on BP Either, ive used one from a friend and it does what it says, no more no less.

I have been using Blue Poison since the second week of the game, and she is the only 5* on this ticket I still use regularly. While I did get her initially very early, I have never pulled a pot for her. The only pot on her were the 5* sniper tokens from CC, so she will be getting a pot from this. Most of the other 5*s on this list I have at pot 5 - 6 already.

Tbh, I prefer using Broca more than Specter nowadays. Her role got filled with Surtr for me. BP is my go to sniper and can't recommend her enough + late game favours arts dmg and as a 5* OP, she gets the most out of debuffs imo.
