We have been watching your channel for years. We started van life two weeks ago, and you were one of our inspirations. I think in any business there are ups and downs. It sucks when good work seems to go unrewarded. I know. I was a teacher for 37 years. Still you have your integrity and a large group ofoyal followers who love what you do. Push those doubts aside, do what brings you joy, and take us along for the ride. A note on the longer videos -- Sometimes I only have a short time to kick back with KZbin. In that case I sometimes can't watch the longer ones right away. I circle back when I have more time. I am probably not the only one who does this. It probably affects the statistics in a negative way, but it is not a reflection on the quality of your content. A 15 min video is just a lot easier for me to fit in than a 30 min one. Btw, love stopping at places we have seen in your videos. We just visited Russell's where we checked out the museum and played the KISS pinball machine. We might have missed that gem if not for your video. ❤

I started watching your channel randomly with the Evergreen College video and have watched every upload since. You’re channel is the only one that I watch fully engaged. No phone in my hand and no distractions. To be honest I could care less where you go and what you do. As a matter of fact some of my favorite videos are when you are stationary. I’m sure I speak for all of your fans when I say that we’re here because of you. The travel adventures are cool but at the end of the day we like you. From the creator end you have to worry about the algorithm and KZbin’s capricious ways of measuring your effort. But you have to keep in mind that the algorithm is not a measure of your worth or talent. It’s some dumb computer math equation that does not take into account the happiness you bring to your viewers. As someone on the other end of your lens I want you to know that what you do and who you are is valuable and worthwhile. I know you have to monetize but feel secure in knowing that there are literally hundreds of thousands of people that are here for you and the kitties and support ALL of your adventures no matter where they take you. Whether it’s traveling Route 66 or setting up a homestead in Arizona. Take care of yourself and I look forward to what you do next.

Hi Eric, My husband and I want you to know that we love your videos! We actually usually watch you on our big screen TV (which is why we don't usually comment) during lunch or dinner time. We will wait until the other one gets home and watch you together. We were just in TN and when we got home we sat down and watched all the videos that we missed. I guess we just want you to know that we enjoy your videos very much. I'm sorry that you're going through this down time in your life, but know that we love you and your fur babies and are praying for you. I don't think it's a coincidence that you met a subscriber in that teeny tiny town. Take a breath, stay safe and do what you need to do to be healthy and happy. We appreciate all of your hard work to bring us wonderful videos.

Man, KZbin is hateful. I think your videos are first class, my husband and I can tell that you put a lot of effort into them; there are so many other travel videos that have absolutely no finesse, its hard to believe that they get more views, I guess a lot of people's taste are in their mouth only. In my opinion, as I have said before, your travel videos are rhe best. When I am feeling down or not well I will watch some of them and I start to feel better. I live in New Zealand but am from America, seeing your videos brings back wonderful memories of back home. I am so glad that you felt better after getting those issues out in the open. It does help ro talk about things. My husband and I care and I know many other viewers do as well. You and the kitties take care, have a safe trip, we'll see you next video. God bless y'all.

I have watched you for years ever since you were mostly in California, I keep watching because you seem like a good dude and have seen your personal growth and maturity. Eric, you're certainly one of my favorite channels. I'm surprised that you haven't figured out what I'm going to share with you. Many years ago I was involved with a friend who has a channel called TheAntiTerrorist. It's still up and running, but we no longer create content for it. We discovered the KZbin generation has a very very short attention span. What I would suggest is try keeping your vlogs 15 minutes long at the most. But, if you do produce something longer than 15 minutes, split it into multiple segments, and upload them a day or two apart. This will help maintain your viewership for the full videos better. And, it gives you a bit of a break between producing content. I worked on a ery successful Sitcom in front and behind the camera. We did 2 part episodes many times and discovered that actually helped the ratings. Not just for the episodes, but the season and series. I love that you have grown over the years. Your first video was so dark, music in minor keys, minimal production. You've learned over the years to maintain your privacy and encouraged a bit of mystery now. Your music is more upbeat, in major keys, your production is absolutely brilliant. Burn out and frustration are very normal, especially in high profile situations. I admire you're not a quitter!!! Just rethink your longer videos and make them two parts. You can even take your longer ones already produced, keep them, but also reedit and upload them as 2 parters... I know you like to upload with a bit of real-time chronological continuity. But more content, still drives more possible viewers and subscribers.. Peac & Love. R.I.P Jax, and the very best to you, Opie & Tara!!! Just something to think about. 0:35

It was like fireside chats for me. I still enjoy the channel and the way its gone, but those were my peek times for me. Some people just like to check in our their favorite youtubers and see what they are up to even if they arent doing a damn thing.

As a fellow content creator I full on understand your frustration. KZbin is a very feast or famine platform. My channel is fairly young (started June, 2022) and I have recently become a partner (April 1, 2023). I thought that it would be different than what it is as my views and revenue are all over the place. Just these two facts alone has had me question what I am doing. I keep thinking that this next one is going to kick down the wall that's holding me back. So, I feel ya brother! I have been watching you from way back when you first got Yoda. I enjoy seeing the places that you go and I'll admit that I am somewhat envious of what you do. As a retired Navy man I have done my fair share of traveling. I've been half way across this planet but still haven't seen half of my own country, but I get to see it through the lens of your cameras. Take a break, if one is needed. There are plenty of your subscribers including myself, that will be waiting to here from you! Safe travels to you, Opie and Tara!

Everybody is struggling to make ends meet and the businesses seem to jack prices and make it harder for our dollar to go further. Hang in there. I'm hoping changes in the economy will come soon. I am looking forward in seeing what you have planned for your property. I watch Kevin, Felix Ausia, Dave, Carolyn and Ed & Sue. There is still a lot of RVers around, they may have a basecamp and property to fix up. I still like to see places that we can visit if we have 5 days, a week or 2 weeks to travel. I may not always comment but I do "like" every video. HUGS~Donna

To be quite honest, I feel like you are a role model for me in travel and in producing videos. If ever I decide to do this in the future, I’d want to see quirky things for instance, like you. You are the only person on KZbin that I watch every single one of your videos. The only person. We went on a two month RVing trip to see my husband’s grandmother cross country from Virginia to California and back, and while I didn’t watch your videos while we were traveling simply because I couldn’t I just didn’t have the time, but when I got back, I made up for it and I’m watching every single one of them. You are my favorite. And even if you go to Arizona and you build out your property, I am super happy to watch every episode of that. I don’t think there’s anything you could produce that I wouldn’t watch. You’re entertaining, you’re fun, you’re sincere, you’re real, you’re like someone I could sit, and have a conversation with around a campfire, while out for dinner, going to an event, walking through a park, doesn’t make a difference. You are a very kind and likable and easy to relate to person. So don’t ever forget those things. You have value, and you are appreciated. 😊

Eric I have watched you on KZbin for years, that being said can I share some advice.... just be content. You don't need pinball machines, or buildings to house them... the more you acquire the more you pull yourself down. less is more for real! You need to build a tiny home on your property to call home base, then take the Nomad idea to visiting parks, nature camping and relaxing. That's what I most enjoyed over the years. Yes the struggle is real if you put yourself in the middle of the struggle... it doesn't have to be that way. Maybe if you please your soul and not so much trying to please your audience and KZbin it will all fall into place. Smile and the world smiles with you. You are very talented with your drone and nature pics , and very good just relaxing. Find the stuff that soothes your soul. trust me if you're happy and content, we all feel it~ just be you~ It's not about what you own...it's about how you live.

Eric We discovered KZbin and Nomadic Fanatic during the lockdown. I worked for television station for the last 27 years selling local and national advertising. I am 61 and I retired at the end of 2022. My wife and I left California in our truck and 5th wheel in January. In large part from watching your videos among others. We love your videos and your adventures! We are in Florida currently and I can't count how many place we have past and say Eric went there. Let's stop! Glad you are taking time off. Everyone takes vacations from their jobs It's a healthy thing to do. I mentioned I sold television for nearly 30 years. 2023 is a down year for all advertising. The economy isn't great but the difference maker for your 11 year career is this is the first down year with high interest rates. Please keep that in mind as your thoughts swirl about what you can do differently. It's not you! We try to watch every video and we will continue to do so. Thanks for everything. Be well!

Eric, My wife and I have been watching your channel for five or six years. We started when we discovered your early trip on route 66. I don't remember when we subscribed to your channel. I know how hard you work to make great content. Five years ago I took a You Tube course from our community college. The instructor was certified by Google to teach about You Tube creation, I made five videos and maybe three made it to my You Tube channel. We are older, I'm 65 and my wife is 60. Because of you we plan on taking our travel trailer down I-10 and staying at Fort Wilderness. There are so many quirky places that you stop at. We love this. On a trip from our home in Arizona to Michigan we even stopped at a few of the places on Route 66. Until this video we never really knew about how important a like is let alone all of the other details. I hope things get better for you. We our on our third travel trailer and because of another You Tuber the RV Nerd we went to Michigan to buy our most recent trailer The service you and dedicated creators provide is priceless. We look forward to your next adventure! Ralph and Carol in AZ

I'm a full-time RV traveler of 4 years. I used to watch all the nomads in the beginning of my venture, but I got bored of yall n only watch here n there... except for one... CVK. You don't need to put so much effort into KZbin. I watch Kevin because he helped me figure out daily travel life and RV maintenance issues. He helped me feel more normal in my introverted/extrovert life choices to be a nomad. I did though purchase land in Coconino a couple years ago and now watching him helps with planning my homestead. Now I'll set notifications for your channel because it'll be super relatable to my lifestyle. I think your going to get a whole new audience here for off grid living.... not a bad thing. A lot of are still traveling... we're single.. we're sick of watching couples travel and glamp in their oversized 5th wheels... we have land we're planning to homestead on. You couldn't have picked a more perfect direction for your channel. Times are changin 😉

Hey Eric, I have been following you for a good many years! I used to comment a lot way back when, but then you got bigger and I got busy. I still watched your videos, and enjoyed about 95% or so of them. You see, I can't travel. I have a homestead with livestock. They NEED me here to take care of them. You are the only traveler on YT that I watch. It allowed me the chance to see some interesting things across the country, and I do appreciate your efforts. I will admit, though, that lately I have been so busy that I have missed a few more of your videos than is normal for me. It's not you, it's just my life at the moment. Speaking of life, life is constantly changing. We grow, we change, our priorities change, too. There is nothing wrong with that, it is what it is. Don't apologize, just live your life. I will continue to watch your videos, mostly, even if you aren't on the road. I look forward to anything you post about what you do with your property. Just don't feel guilty if your life changes, it's a natural progression.

Hi Eric, I've been watching your channel for many years now and always hit the like button :-) Always appreciate the time and effort you put into this channel, and how the quality of each video has obviously grown over the years with your experience, fancier equipment, etc. I'm sad you're having KZbin issues and appreciate your need for a break. Wise. Good for you! Now, you didn't ask anyone for what they are looking for with your videos and I know you understand all those Analytics that simply give me a headache to even imagine having to track. But as a "virtual grandma" I can't stop myself. I respect your business acumen, and I provide the following as someone who wants to help you in some small way. Here goes: Maybe you need to hear this -- maybe you don't -- but your work is excellent. All that time and talent you invest, it shows. You are one of the best creators out there, Eric. I like all your videos, no matter the topic. Quirky? Fine. RV product reviews? Cool. Your ability to bring rain to drought-stricken areas? Amazing. I'm not choosing whether to watch based upon the topic. That being said, I was surprised to see the longer length in the past few videos. Thirty minutes may be too long for some folk without any disrespect to you. Life interrupts, especially if you're watching on a phone instead of at home on a smart TV. I was thinking you were doing some kind of marketing test here.... Now, what would this Virtual Grandma like to see more on your channel? You. The cats. IMHO I like channels where I feel like I know the person and their ups and downs - and it doesn't have to be every video, of course. I like to see you and the cats. I like to hear you complain about the rain following you everywhere. I worry about your diet, as any Virtual Grandma should, with all that avoiding of "decoration" . And I can't wait to see what you do with your new Arizona property. Very exciting!!!!! So, bottom line. Great channel. Loyal viewer who isn't going anywhere. Maybe as your business evolves, it becomes more Eric-focused instead of traveling-focused and that's not a bad thing. Arizona can use the rain. God bless you and Opie and Tara!!! P.S. Eat a salad. It won't kill ya. (Because Grandmas have to say stuff like this. It's in the rules.)

Do what you need to do for you. I too watch on my TV and just discovered I could like by pushing up twice. I too like your travel but like your renovations, your life, the babies Tara &Opie, and even the ones showing the not happy times. We had our R.C. cat for 19 years and she got sick almost overnight. It hit us hard. This was after Jax was gone. Seeing you go through that heartache helped us cope. Knowing that we are not alone in our grief. Looking forward to watching your AZ. property be transformed into your home base. We enjoyed watching you fix up the house in Illinois. It is tragic that it didn't work out for you. But the constant rain there was depressing for you so all worked out. BOA sucks. I now use a credit union. But they took need an itinerary when we travel. However, the VP did say that if we travel full time, accommodations would be made. I believe people come into our lives when we need them as Monty did for you. Again, you do you.

If your viewership is down, especially on the longer videos where you did more "quirky activities," you might put out a poll to see what people want. Many started for the "RV aspect" of your videos, others for the "quirky locations/activities" aspect of your videos. Ask your watchers to let you know which of those two aspects they enjoy watching the most and what length videos they most enjoy. Couldn't hurt.

Let me tell you one thing Eric..about the viewers. No matter what direction things go for you, I hope you'll keep brining us along for the ride. Lastly, if you ever quit KZbin....we'd LOVE a podcast from ya! haha, just a thought. And lastly, how about public speaking gigs at RV events and the like?!

Hi Eric, you don’t know me my name is Fran Little and you are the one that hasn’t inspired me the most to do what I’m about to do come the end of summer. At the young age of 77. I am leaving Florida selling my homes selling my brand new SUV and I bought a smart car back last year in August. In fact, it looks just like yours “tater tot,”so regardless of what KZbin is saying, there could be a mistake. I yes I’ve watched every one of your videos and I look forward to them. It’s like watching a movie. I enjoyed them, some are not so interesting to me as the majority of them are… But that doesn’t mean I don’t watch them until the end so if I was to say to you don’t give up don’t let you to control what you love doing. Still do those videos I enjoy them and I would say the majority of people enjoy them that view them and maybe you have to remind them not to click off because it does hurt your channel. Maybe a lot of people do not know that they need to ring the bell & hit thumbs up, those are all important things, so my name on my RV is “Somewhere in Time RVing” I have made rugs to go outside with my logo on it. I have done a lot of things because of your videos. I am so excited to start my journey, traveling and zigzagging through the USA. I have toured many countries in Europe, all of the Caribbean Canada, South America, Hawaii, etc. etc. except the beautiful United States. So Eric if you take anything from this comment. Please know that there are people like myself that enjoy watching every single week on one week I enjoy watching as well. You should do what you like to do . No one said you can’t stop and hang out on your property in Arizona. That would be great video it!!! Then you coo put out videos of what you’re doing , like you did when you tater tot would worked on tater tot’s new look new tires, etc. don’t give up 😊 I’ll see you on the road come September 2023 Fran

Sorry for the rough times Eric. I enjoy all your videos. I have been working for a year to get monetized on my channel but it is a slow process getting to the first 4000 watch hours. We enjoy your efforts always & are always excited to see the “quirky” things you will show us. You put out quality work. Take some time for yourself but know that your viewers are behind you. And your new friend you met there, that wasn’t by chance. The Lord is watching over you too. That was a little love note. Take care! ❤️🙏

I love your content that you provide and the fact that I can let my grandson watch your videos and not worry about language or inapropriat topics. Eric: We started as bloggers. Never made it to You Tube. We went on the road in 2015. Some of our best times in life were while we were full-timing. A couple years ago, having sold everything, we decided we needed a base. Although we spend a lot of summer time up in the Show Low area, our "base" is in Quartzsite. We spend fall and winter there and travel the rest of the year. Our homestead is 1/4 acre, but it keeps us busy. We've built several outbuildings and I have a couple of cars I'm restoring. Getting ready to head up your way in the next week or so. Maybe we'll run into you. Hope you had a Happy birthday. And as long as you make videos, we'll be watching. Were subscribers. Maybe we'll check into becoming Patreons.

I agree with this in general. But i have what is considered to be the best credit union in my midwestern state and my cards from them have been hacked repeatedly. I've never had this happen with my other cards from Capitol One and Chase bank. So, only concern is security and also ability to be mobile on road and support with a credit union.

Hi Eric. It is your old friend Doris from TTO. So sorry that you are going through this rough period in your Youtiube life. I have been watching since the beginning. I consider you a personal friend and I will always watch whatever content you put out. I watch CampervanKevin and Felix and if you end up doing similar content while developing your land in Arizone, I will still watch. I will enjoy the projects and get-togethers with Kevin and all the other visitors at the base camps. It does not always have to be a travelogue or a wild adventure as you have noted with your KZbin friends. We like just following your ups and downs of every day life and the feeling that we are sharing the joys and the sadness of what life brings. Hang in there Eric. The rollercoaster that goes down so fast, also climbs up the hill to a new crest. For every bad day there is a good day . For every depressing moment, there is a happy return to success. Hugs to you! 91 years old and still RVing.

Don't take the view decline personally, Eric. Even the extremely popular tv shows suffer drop almost inevitably, if they go on for a long period. If the show goes on for more than 5 years, the viewership themselves undergo some changes in their lives and their viewing habits change as a result, i.e., Getting married, having a health scare, moving house, divorce, etc.. But they still value your channel and maybe after a year later when their lives settle down, they come back to you in a big way. Also people tend to want something new, after a while. Eric, you've proven to be a very talented cameraman and tv presenter, and your picture quality, sound quality and narration, interesting contents are all outstanding among others, as we and you know that. So I sincerely hope you continue being a creator of whatever the subjects you choose, since you have such a talent and we wish you all best. Think long term, Eric! My family and I love you and we really wish you all best!!

Feedback from your viewers is essential and each of us will have something different to say. For me, Missouri (especially Missouri), Arkansas, Oklahoma, Florida, and Texas are losing their appeal very quickly. Can't remember the last time I saw a video from the NE or Mid-North. SC to ME, MI to WI. Do the Alaska thing, see Canada. I think the southern states should be your winter adventures and the northern states your summer adventures. Disney and NASCAR isn't for everyone either. It's just me of course, my interests and travels will be different from you and from many other viewers. I miss the secret and incredible boondocking places you find, I have sought many of them out when I could. Take a break, re-align yourself and plan the next phase, if I know one thing, your vid quality and amazing cats will always still be the best.

Living on the road full time is exciting but also very tiring. Being a KZbinr adds extra stress for the daily life for sure. Our vlog views are pretty same they were seven years ago when we started making videos, our channel has not grown. So sometimes it is hard to keep the motivation up even we like travelling and doing travel videos. Please Eric take good care of yourself, be with your friends, stay static for a while and remember just to relax.

Relying solely on KZbin as income is risky. One day you could try to access your account and its no longer there. They can flip the switch any day. Once your channel dies so does your patreon and sponsors etc.

Content creators need to realize some things. 1. Shorter content. Most people dont have the time to sit down and watch a 25 min video. 2. Use KZbin Shorts as advertising. Even on my small channel I get an average of 10 new subs per week just uploading 20 second videos. 3. Its a KZbin video, not a blockbuster movie. 4. More gear doesnt mean more views. Theres several huge channels that film on their phones. Hope these tips help. And always remember to KEEP MOVING FORWARD.

Hey Eric, sorry to hear you are having difficulties but having been a follower of yours for 8+ years I know you will figure it out. My wife and I got to meet you in Florida this past winter in Titusville at Robert’s and if you recall I told you that you were the first “Yourtuber“that I subscribed to. I’d hate to see you retire from KZbin but your health and financial situation is your primary responsibility and you gotta do what you need to do. If that means you’re taking a break or quitting entirely or something in between, you do what you need to do and don’t let anybody talk you out of it. I would definitely miss your videos and after 8 years I feel like we’re friends, but oh well, life goes on.

Eric, I know exactly how you feel. I have been dealing with the same stuff for years. I love what I do, but I don't seem to have the energy, and it is spilling over to everything in my life. I am a professional marketer for IT companies and have been following you for the past couple of years. My wife and I sold our RV last September, moved back to a traditional home, and rebranded our channel from 3 Dogs and an RV to Out N' Aboot. Sold our marketing company in Florida and moved back to Canada. I still work, but I will tell you, it is a chore. A wise person taught me once if you don't have a passion, don't do it. If it is painful, take a break and return later. Doing a video every three days is crazy, but this is your livelihood. I could never put my livelihood in Google's hands. They can change the rules so quickly.

I have really appreciated many of your videos over the years. You're one of the most talented KZbinrs out there. But to be honest there are some that I really enjoy and some I just don't care to watch. I think the same goes for most of your viewers. In the end, we're going to watch what interests us. It comes down to content. Your content varies. I love watching your project videos and your camping videos. I don't care much for most of your touristy attractions videos especially Disney. Your product reviews mostly not but I'm sure rvers love them. You could just make whatever videos make you happy and hope they please your viewers, but if you're concerned about profit, then you have to consider an analysis on what sells and try to target that audience. It's not personal, really. You're a great guy and very gifted. You have to do what's right for you. I hope that means makings all the videos I like but I doubt you're going to do that. But asking people to like all your videos seems just as realistic. I hope you land on your feet just as you always do.

It isn't KZbins place to reward anyone for effort into videos Eric . New subscribers are the ones to make that reward happen . You are for sure burning out and need to go relax and reset yourself . Maybe head to your land in Arizona and start to develop that with the tiny house and such . Video when you want and just don't worry about posting for a while . Then when ready you will have new videos all in a row to post so you can relax even longer ? We are all here for ya man . Have a few cold ones and just don't try to over think things . The right answer will come to you .
