Everyone Is Sleeping On This Incredibly Strong Prismatic Titan Build!

Showcasing one of my favorite titan builds to run this season. This build is extremely strong and extremely slept on. It is a more passive playstyle but shines in endgame content!

While I appreciate trying to build a prismatic build outside of consecration, you're incorrect that your build is better in prismatic vs. void. To set the stage, your entire build is centered around second chance and leaching void verbs via collective obligation. As such, I'll focus my analysis on that requirement. 1. Void aspects work better for your build than prismatic. Controlled demo is arguably the best volatile spreader in the game. With two shield throws, you basically will have infinite volatility and weaken, in addition to leaching these void verbs via collection obligation. With offensive bulwark, you'll have much quicker ability regen to keep the shield throw and grenade loop going since you'll have plenty of overshields via shield throws. 2. Void fragments work better for your build than prismatic. (i.e. defeating weakened targets generate orbs of power, devour, extending devour/overshields, etc.). If played correctly, you can basically keep devour up indefinitely, which is incredibly potent in higher tier difficulties. 3. Collective obligation works better in void. With controlled demo aspect, you're leaching both weaken and volatile. Similar to prismatic, you can also use suppression grenade on void. As such, using the same ability loop you have in the video, you can leach all 3 void verbs. Higher uptime on "umbral sustenance" on collective obligation via devour (not accessible in prismatic outside of buried bloodline) and not just overshields. The points above are just to highlight the main reasons your build is better as void rather than prismatic. Again, I do appreciate you trying to be different than other content creators that all rehash the same consecration/knockout combo, we can all agree that prismatic titan is very limited compared to other classes. While I can agree that there are many creative ways to build a prismatic titan outside of consecration and make them "viable", I can almost guarantee that you can create the same or similar build outside prismatic and it'll be even more optimal. All of this is to say, prismatic titans are the losers in the final shape.

The problem with almost every prismatic titan build is that its either a worse melee build than banner of war or a diet version of the exact same build you could make on the original subclass. Less volatile and no volatile chaining, no overshield giving faster melees or grenade regen, no devour to also help grenade regen, this is just a direct downgrade to using the same on void titan. This isn't even your fault, prismatic titan is just a dumpster fire.

100% correct. Prismatic consecration is strong.... but solar subclass consecration with sunspots, healing grenades, and burning maul+pyrogales is stronger. Void prismatic is ok. But void subclass with devour is way better. Strand prismatic abilities are cool. But banner of war strand subclass is way better. It's exactly as you said. Prismatic no matter how you build it on titans is just a worse version of any normal subclass. Ohhh Stasis is a huge example. On prismatic you can take behemoth super to get frost armor on orb of power pickup. But on Stasis you can take a fragment that makes frost armor stack higher damage resist and lasts 13 seconds instead of the 8 on prismatic. Chaining and maintaining a 13 sec buff is exponentially easier than trying to find orbs of power every 7 seconds....

wish i had second chance to try this build. extra ability charges are so strong. that being said, everyone is sleeping on behemoth titan with armamentarium for solo play. it allowed me to get through the solo legendary campaign very easily. glacier nades are so good for making cover and also do insane damage with the shatter changes that occurred in final shape.

Behemoth is insanely good for neutral play man, I've been rocking that shit when ppl thought it was the weakest Subclass; synthos paired with Howl of the Storm is insaaaane, and for GMs and Master Raids, Lancecap is the go to fr Never really armamentarium as that thing is insanely nerfed cuz your 2nd nade recharges way slower than the 1st one, but I can definitely see the appeal of it

Same! It replaced Hoarfrost as the main exotic for me; just by leaning into Frost Armor and a couple of aspects, gaining back grenade energy passively is pretty easy, even with the nerfs. Now as soon as I can work in a Demo Weapon into the build, then it's gonna be even better. The Orbs on kill is also a nice touch. I honestly appreciate it.

The cope is strong. It's creative sure but not effective in anything above Legend content. Would be 10x more effective and efficient just to run this on void as stated by plenty of other comments, just like every other Prismatic titan build, it's done better on their elemental subclass.

It’s actually stronger than Woven Mail at 50 DR. It’s just that a full overshield is about 50 hp worth, so it disintegrates very quickly.

That is actually my main build that I used in Legend campaign. But I still think its better on void Titan becaus killing weakend enemies gives health back and if you have devour, every kill resets the devour Timer and gives Health back. Its impossible to die. But yeah you maybe lose a Bit of damage if you dont have transzendent and cant stun every Champion. But the survivelbility is just insane on void. I actually use abeyent leap on prismatic titan, because suspending gives Woven Mail for 10 seconds. Or i use the new exotic rocket chest.

Love this creative build. I have a similar build with second chance from Season of Defiance that I crafted through grinding Vexcalibur mission. Elsie’s Rifle rolled with Repulsor Brace and Desrablizing rounds. Constant volatile and void overshield. You definitely sparked some ideas… time to grind VOW for CO!

i’ve been using a prismatic titan with Second Chance as well, using a Breachlight with Pugilist and Desperate Measures, and the fragment that makes melee kills give unraveling rounds to strand weapons. Using void shotgun for champs and Tractor Cannon for team DPS, especially with Expanding Abyss on the artifact (can be switched to Edge Transit for solo play)

Burried bloodline i could see fitting in this build, as devour helps get your gernade back and helps with sustain. It was my favorite build crafting gun last year (10k kills on it) and now with prismatic and the artifact, its become even more crazy especially with catalyst.

This isn’t a knock, but the shield throw miss at 2:59 is the exact reason I have an issue with this build, especially for something time sensitive like stunning a barrier. The hit detection/tracking on shield throw is far too inconsistent. Having my barrier pop on something with a ~1 minute cooldown that can miss that easily just isn’t gonna work for me. As you can see in your video, you clearly hit the shield. There is no reason it shouldn’t have worked other than it just didn’t. It’s not a skill issue, it’s a bungie hit detection issue. Anyway, I love the idea and hope that bungie can tune shield throw so it’s more consistent.

Hmm this does sound interesting and worth a try for sure. I may fiddle with some of the fragments as if you have the shield throw weakening i dont think you need grenade throw to do it as well, but thats just me. Even if titans are viewed as weaker then the other 2 classes i feel they are still decent at doing end game stuff, and been enjoying making builds for them still, both on and off prismatic. Like my favorite is still my two tailed fox failsafe exotic prismatic build even after the facet of command over nerf(hopefully they adjust that and give two tailed some more love.) Been trying to get my stronghold double sword prismatic titan build finalized, but i like the look of this one, and i do love me some collective obligation ever since i got it from pantheon.

Controlled demo is the best void aspect in-game. It out heals devour. Devour is dependent on kills, controlled demo is dependent on void weapon damage after controlled demo volatile proc, for heals. Literally a 1 step setup. HIt them with and ability and do damage with your void weapon. Funnelweb, commemoration, etc. Through the campaign I too used second chance, it was fun. Then ran it on day 1 contest mode. The over shield & weaken were easily out shined by controlled demolition on full blown Void. Vortex grenades last longer and the volatile burst kept me and my fireteam up more-so than doing personal over shield. (Expulsion, Instability, Leeching, Remnants) Using your exotic slot for Deterministic Chaos, Your suppressing and and weakening, and self over shield. (solid and offensive) Free the exotic slot. Controlled Demo & Bastion- you will provide sustain better for yourself let alone, allowing your team mates more DR & healing. (solid & Defensive)

I really like this, will be trying it out tonight, or at least a version of it. The great thing is that the subclass itself covers all three champion stuns, so you're pretty much free to use any weapons you like. Did you ever try, or consider, Le Monarque with this?

I ran something similar for the 12 man gm only i was using ursa so the whole team could push up. There was just something so cool about having a pile of guardians huddle in behind the ursa shield and push up. I was invisioning a scene from 300 haha. Also i was on void not prismatic and collective obligation came in clutch with all 3 debuffs just chaining all the time. It was hilarious watching subjugators walk around with thier hands over thier face due to suppression 😂

Since you're using an aspect that alters your class ability to have extra functionality, (Drenger's Lash in this case), it doesn't matter what barricade you use; its cooldown will be the same. I'm not saying don't use rally because it's nice for reload and range, but it makes no difference on the time it takes to get it back. Same thing applies to Bastion, Threaded Specter, Ensnaring Slam, Child of the Old Gods, Weaver's Call, as well as Bleakwatcher for grenades.

Once i saw the artifact i knew i was bringing second chance into the day 1. Doomfang pauldron tore through first encounter (super up the entire phase) and second chance was killing it for the rest

I got HOIL+contact, and it’s easily the most fun I’ve had on prismatic on all three characters with knockout and consecration. Not the strongest for sure but I’m still able to do -30 content with enough practice. The main trick is just getting the prismatic mini ult as consistently as possible

I never really paid attention to controlled demolition, but with collective obligation... Holy hell that aspect is strong. I tried running prismatic and while I found a little more utility, ultimately i just find void so much stronger.

So when I first saw this my reaction was "its better on void" and it is good on void, but so far this is the only prismatic build that I would call good in any way and in lower content you swap collective obligation for a repulsor / destabilising weapon and it is also great.

Facet of hope seems to be bugged right now and not worth using atm because so many things seem to cause it to just not work at all, unfortunately. But I was literally thinking about these gauntlets last night. Glad to see somebody else giving them a (2nd) chance (ha)

Its def not a bad build. Neither is the thunder clap or consecration builds. And I've been going thru all the combos. The problem is, I honestly don't think this build is better than the void version. As void can do all this with more add clear and about same survivability. That's the issue with prismatic titan. As other classes got more of the best options, titan got alot more of the less useful ones that don't synergies well. Simply Changing the void aspect would honestly help alot. But at this point most prismatic titan builds are inferior to the pure subclass builds. They are useable and have utility but far less functional and synergistic. With the main build that kinda keeps up (consecration) being a boring play style..at least for me. My banner titan. Void. arc. And solar builds all still feel more powerful in every way in single target, add clear, & survivability. So I do hope they make a few changes

Has anyone tried the newly buffed Bastion with this build? I'm interested if the ranged melee here works with Bastion? I'll toss out that the primary I use with this build is generally a strand one to take advantage of unraveling rounds that come from the facet after a melee kill and there's REALLY good options this season. YOu've got Breachlight and Better Devils that both have pugilist in the left column and good damage perk options in the right. If I had collective obligation, I'd run it. But I don't. And for the people who don't raid like me, there are some really good legendary options easily available this season.

I got lucky and got an exotic class item with Abeyant and Scars. So I run Drangr and diamond lance. Currently pairing it with wishkeeper because I can constantly debuff enemies for my allies to get more damage out of their light abilities.

well...shield throws are the most fun when used on adds. They bounce funny and they apply volatile and it all sounds and feels good. Still not powerful enough to be overly exciting. Too bad we don't have a solid melee regen when using that setup. Not even close to regen of Strand melee with woven mail with into the fray aspect. Would be nice if Destabilise debuff explosion gave even a little bit of melee energy outside what Controlled Demolition aspect already does on Void Subclass but from an exotic armor piece. Would compliment void subclass even more AND would make it work decently on prismatic. And certain weapon perks would also get a bit of a glow-up. And yeah. Taking up the entire exotic armor slot for only a second shield bash and anti-barrier capability is silly. Especially when there are guns like Multimach CXX with Kinetic Tremors that eat barrier champs alive without any gimmick. It just works. And ESPECIALLY when that particular armor piece is kiiiinda ugly. I get that it is an interesting build but is it particularly effective? Does it have the power to light up and clutch a 2 man wipe in the middle of a GM run? Will it shine in Master Raids? I seriously doubt that.

I cant really say I see the power of this build on prismatic. I feel like if you use it on void its just more powerful and even then the triple consecrate build with synthos is just more viable. Ofc you have less champion stun potential with just the class unless you run pulse with jolt for overload but still the damage potential and looping is so easy for how much you get out of it. Prismatic titan for me is fun but it doesnt feel as potent as warlock and hunter atm

@@yaboibigsmoke2733 I agreed with you on voil hoil titan until I tried the prismatic hoil build. It's absolutely busted on difficulty content. I solo'd the legend campaign on void hoil titan and it is pretty strong but it is defnitely inferior to prismatic hoil titan. Super tanky with all sorts of buffs. The concercration melee spam is insanely good as you are nearly invincible during the animation. It is indeed a dicy build in the sense that to stay alive you must play very aggressively. If you like to play safe and from a distance then it is not a better build for you.

i love second chance, it's one of my favorite titan exotics, but it's not worth running on prismatic. there's significantly better ability uptime on void with this build through the offensive bulwark & bastion aspects. prismatic titan sadly has zero benefit from void overshields like it does on void that takes this exotic to the next level. i have no idea why bungie did the absolute bare minimum with void overshields for prismatic titan, its literally our identity with void. Warlocks got the devour benefit aspect and hunter got the invisible aspect but we got unbreakable which does jack shit

Sadly this isn't as strong as consecration builds. By the time you get this build off a consecrating titan will have cleared the entire room.

Build is 10% of banner of war strand titan, hell even non prismatic void has controlled demo. No reason to play prismatic titan until they add banner and sunspot aspect to even come close to warlocks.

I’ve always loved this exotic. Really good for on demand weakening to damage raid and dungeon bosses. Players who say titan is bad nowadays have no creativity and are simply lazy. Every subclass except arc is top tier in end game pve. Just use your brain and you’ll be good to go.

I appreciate trying to vary the builds for tittan, but I feel like this is a very weak build that requires a raid exotic so like 70% of players won't even have a chance to get this to work out. wouldn't knockout still be better just to increase damage for the shield throw when you proc it from shooting enemies from afar? Truth is the Titan armor exotic team has dropped the ball for two years now. Every new exotic becomes another in the pile of useless exotics for titan. The best one so far has been hazardous propulsion, but somehow people don't wanna run rockets anymore for the meta since they've been dethroned by GLs so even less people are talking about the insane damage potential of it

The majority of the playerbase lacks imagination. Sitting down with a pen and paper and making little diagrams about X synergizing with Y is what keeps the game fresh for me.

unfortunately, bungie made that pretty hard with prismatic titan because the aspects are not great. They are inferior to warlock and hunter

Both can be true. People can lack imagination and prismatic titan can lack synergies that can hold a candle to warlock or hunter. Titan's identity is "punch man" and Bungie keeps reinforcing that which causes all subclasses to feel the same. So if all subclasses are just "punch man" then it makes sense that everyone just goes to the subclass that's best at punching. So when something new comes out that's just overall inferior at punching than other classes, people are rightfully upset. Best way to fix it? Let titans be the defenders, the demolitionists, the battlefield commanders, etc. As funny as "crayon muncher go punch" is, it's not all titans are in the lore, and it's not all they have to be in gameplay.

Lol this build even if I thought it was strong (it's not) is nothing special. Needs a raid exotic and artifact mods for example. Drengrs lash was basically never used in your gameplay. Mentions getting two things at a range melee is strong, but like every ranged melee gets a ton on. Uses sooo much heavy ammo. Lots of hoops are needed to make this build "work" like keeping enemies alive to re leech.

This is to much work for a baby void class. Let’s face it this is a subclass was not made for Titans at all and the fact that bungie is just now realizing there is a problem with underpower issues with Titan is amazing because there’s been a problem for the last 10 years. Shame on bungie for playing favoritism. Our exotics are mid at best in our class ability as a joke because warlocks can do it better. Also good on warlocks for finally having a different build. Happy for those players fuck hunters.
