The weird part I find is that Korone wasn’t even hurt by being run over. Looking at her health bar on the bottom left, you can see that she didn’t lose any health nor did the car send her flying, so her resting on the bench kept her laying down while the car clipped through her while taking the bench away. Might just be some weird game physics that saved Korone, but it’s still freaking hilarious.

I feel like Korone has some pretty weird settings at times, such as the wedding when she tanked the explosion. I guess the HoloStaff gods were looking out for her

It’s something to do with the interaction between the models. The car hits the bench before it hits Korone, the bench accelerates Korone’s model without actually impacting her so she doesn’t take any damage. There is a similar problem with the bars on the front of the police cars which is why when the police ran over the gang members at like 180kph they barely scratched them. The bars themselves don’t do any damage, so the pedestrian gets accelerated before the bonnet of the car hits them and they take less damage. On the other hand when the gang members ran over the cops they just one shot them because the model of the car hits them directly. Several of the police/gang interactions went the way of the gangs because of this glitch basically preventing the cops from doing any damage to them with their cars. Iroha manages to hit Towa going over 200kph in one chase and it doesn’t even remove all her armour. In the massacre on day 4 Watame runs over both the gang members about 6-7 times each and only manages to down one of them. Meanwhile the gangs could 100-0 the police even with armour doing anything above about 80kph.

@@InceyWinceyNow I can't help wondering if such a thing is possible in real life, albeit through a 1-in-a-billion freak accident. Like the impact of a car merely causes a bench to slide out from under the person resting on it, who then experiences no more damage than if they rolled over and fell off the bench.

@ the short answer is no because you take damage from the bench thanks to friction. In the game the bench doesn’t damage you, which is why Korone is unscathed by this accident. It’s also why you randomly survive crashes that you shouldn’t. In the example I gave of Towa being hit by Iroha at about 200kph and surviving the second reason she takes so little damage is that she gets flung into a road sign which doesn’t damage her. If she had hit the road, or a tree, or the ground, she would have taken a little more damage (though she would probably still have lived) but because she was first decelerated by the sign she didn’t take any damage when she hit the ground.
