This has actually happened. In post crisis peacemaker was given a scarab and yellow lantern ring. Jaime however was able to bring peacemaker back to his senses and peacemaker ripped out the scarab. As for the ring I think it just left.

The Blue Beetle armor would be more beneficial than a lantern ring, but it would also be a power only shared with you from a sentient being that could potentially override your decisions or even do things for you. Basically it's more of a guardian or autopilot option. I'd take a lantern ring, even with the downsides of needing to be charged and having to concentrate more, because at least it would be all me and my decisions what I create and how or why I use the construct. Also less chance of global conquest from an alien force.

I love Blue Beetle's concept....except it's kinda terrifying that Scarb latches into your body and there's noone to remove it. Also the fact that you have to keep Scarabs AI in check so it would not kill anyone, and that The Reach can take control of you at any time....doesn't help.

Young Justice Season 2, really made the scarab seem quite OP, with Black Beetle. I mean the dude was just a regular Reach species dude (probably equivalent to that of a top tier Navy Seal human (perhaps bit more stronger and durable)). Despite that, the scarab was powerful enough to make him easily tank and shake off blows from Superboy, who is arguably the strongest member of the team (in terms of brute strength (although Miss Martian is a 100% Martian, unlike Superboy who is 50% Kryptonian, so Miss Martian may actually end up being the physically strongest on the team). Plus Black Beetle was able to actually take on multiple attacks from the team with Superboy being apart, and still wipe the floor with all of them easily. To add Black Beetle is able to go toe to toe with Mongol, who is apparently almost as strong if not as strong as Superman.

The scarab is not weak againts magic he is just vulnerable to it. But he can absorb it. Jaime has the most powerful artifact in the Dc universe attached to his spine. Kaji-Da is the most powerful scarab of The Reach. He can create anything and do anything. It's wayyy better than a lantern ring. Also Jaime doesn't wear the suit, he's the suit. It fuses with his cells. Also compared to a lantern ring his buildings or creations stay permanently if he wants, without needing concentration or will power to maintain them. You just need your imagination.

I feel as though Ted would’ve also mastered the Scarab if it worked for him. He would invented so many new and advanced inventions. Although seeing as how it took Jamie a long time to control and work with The Scarab instead of against it. This video missed a lot about blue beetle. In the comics he is way more op. For starters, he is isnt vulnerable to magic, he was even able to defeat dr fate(one of the most powerful magic users dc). He is able to go into a 5th dimensional plane outside of space and time called 'the bleed', allowing him to travel back in time and deny causality. He can also stop other people from time traveling by shooting them with a specific attack. He is able dodge attacks that require you to move faster than time (i don't even know how lol). Edit: forgot to mention, I got all of this from a death battle cast podcast about ben 10 vs blue beetle. You should give it a watch if you want to find out some other crazy stuff he can do.

Yes, he dodged attaks from tachyon beams which are much faster than the speed of light and allow time travel. His enemy said that he has to be faster than time itself to dodge them and he did it easily. Basically he's faster than the instant in base mode. Don’t know how consistent this feature is but I’m post crisis Jaime was brought back to life by khaji-da after being killed by being injected with adrenaline and having his heart restarted. Also I think you didn’t mention that the waste can be converted into clothes and paper which is needed since the armor burns his clothes off at least in post crisis. As for the paper it was used to show others an image from a fight he had with someone. This in turn sort of proves that the scarab is also constantly recording. As for the final thing which is just a pet peeve is that in rebirth the scarab is not a reach infiltrator but a magical artifact.

In those comics Blue Beetle was able to easily hack a mother box (New gods xenotechnology and Cyborg's) and transformed it into dust, isn't that crazy? Kaji-Da wanted to kill The Specter the wrath of god, and proposed to Jaime weapons to kill him, but Jaime obviously didn't want that. In Infinte crisis 2005, if it weren't for Blue beetle, the Justice league would have lost to Brother Eye. In the New 52 The Reach Empire invaded Odym (the planet of the Blue lanterns) and won. In the Rebirth comics he defeated Doctor Fate (Nabu) and crushed his helmet with one hand. I mean, it was a fight between Kaji-Da and Nabu. If you want you can read his most current comics. Graduation day and the Scarab War arc. This April 2 the first issue of that arc will be released.

This movie should've gotten at least THREE trailers. It's releasing between two DC movies that feature problematic POS and they're sabotaging all of these movies not just for lack of marketing but also spoiling plot points like they're nothing!
