Fill, I got concerned about the owner when everything was just left at the table and all the furniture is still there. I would talk to someone at the city or police and voice some concern. They need to go in and check that someone didn't pass away in there. ❤Thank you for doing a great job on the yard.

I agree, police may have already been contacted since it has been two years. There's also the possibility the homeowner drove off and was in a fatal accident. The lawn looks like someone has mowed the front, at least at some point.

I seem to remember early on Fill once mowing down a vacant property only to have the cops called on him for trespassing. So I'm surprised to see him go past the fence line to get the back.

Hello Fill, When you see overgrown yards like this and the neighbors say that they don't know what's going on. Do yourself a favor and call authorities because there is another youtuber by the name of lawn care Juggernaut or the boring Channel. He experienced something that threw him back that he actually found someone deceased in their home. He could smell it from outside. It put him back a bit but had he not done that he would have probably felt even worse. So please call in this case knowing that somebody walked away from their lunch or breakfast or have the neighbors do it.

Kevin - The Boring Chanel/The Lawn Juggernaut was so distraught at finding that deceased person he went into depression and couldn't post for a month or so. Very sad.

I think it was cool that the neighbor felt comfortable enough to ask if you could trim up a little piece of his property and good on you for doing it for free. You live in a beautiful state. You must be high altitude by the looks of the terrain. You always wrk so hard and do such a complete job. I feel for the homeowner and what possibly could’ve happened. I would assume the posted office would have stopped delivering if it's been years. I didn't pick up my mail for two weeks once cause I was out of town longer than I expected and they cancelled my deliveries.

What surprises me is how big some American yards can be. That is a huge back yard. Very odd that someone would just leave and I agree the police should have a look inside. This property will have a title with the owner’s name on it. There will be property tax records with owner information. The authorities should be able to track the owner down. Well done job as usual. That was nice work, the neighborhood has relief. With open fencing, everyone surrounding had a view of the overgrowth and now, the order put in. I tend to agree that the signs were not of someone expecting to leave. Very nice you were able to help another neighbor at the same time.

Nope! My taxes are all paid by an impound account at the bank that holds my mortgage. I have had that situation for 50 years on 7 mortgages. Nobody pays taxes the old way or direct anymore. I’m 73.

First of all, fabulous work, Fill! The property looks beautiful! I'm glad you didn't get stung by the bees or run over any more hives. The situation regarding the homeowner not being present is very concerning. I think the police should be notified to conduct a welfare check. The owner could have passed away in the home, and if there were dogs, they might still be inside. I hope the homeowner is on vacation at a second home or, as Fill mentioned, caring for a family member. However, leaving the Bible on the table with breakfast dishes remaining and empty dog kennels in the back of the home seems odd.

Fill you have a good heart call and ask for a wellness check. And it's some what easy to find out who the owners are on the properties you mow,the county has all the information and it should be open to the public.

You could go to City Hall Property Records ad get the name of the person who owns this property. They may also have contact information as well. You did a great job o the property.

Sadly being 2 years ago (injections going wrong during that time -causing blood clots) I would wonder if the person had a bite to eat didn't feel good & went up to bed to never come down again. (Here it's called a "wellness check" that gets requested to see if the person or persons are alright inside or not (they could even use a locksmith to open it up & re lock if everything checks out okay after) The boring channel (lawn mowing person like you) mowed a lawn that the person was deceased inside, he knew because they had left a rear window open (there was a smell)- story is the same -neighbors stopped seeing anyone come or go & seemingly just minded their own business.

I will never understand why neighbors don’t help out in these situations. I’ve mowed a lawn next door a few times because nobody lived there. One neighbor asked why, and I said, “why not!?”

When you showed the inside of the house, my first thought was that they had received a phone call about a family emergency and they bolted. I have had to do that in the past on two occasions but I always returned within a week to my home. Like one of your followers, I would at least contact the police and let them do a wellness check just to be on the safe side. If it has been over a year, and no neighbor has complained about a strong odor, the police my just find some clue as to who the owner is and they can get in touch with them. Just a thought. Loved the video and looking forward to your next adventure.

It’s an awfully nice house just to walk away from. Lots of reasons people leave - avoid the creditors, etc. But I can’t say I’ve heard of someone leaving their breakfast dishes on the table like they just went to the store. Very strange.

Your thought is a good one. They did take the dogs with them. Or at least with two dog houses in the back I think they had pets. You are very blessed that the yellow jackets didn't sting you. I had that experence also. I have 5 acres down the street and mow it every 10 days. I went there to mow and it looked like a skunk had dug up the nest. It was large. I mowed over it every time I mowed. You did a good job.

Wondering what happened to the owner wouldn't be a mystery in my neighborhood because our neighbors all care about each other. We would absolutely know what happened to the owner, and if needed, that owner's yard would not be overgrown like that. We would all pitch in to keep it nice for the neighborhood and help out a neighbor in need.

If the power is being paid for, and taxes are also could be direct pay through the bank. So that would keep it from looking "off". BUT what if the owner died right there, in the bathroom or laundry room? A call the city officials maybe? Thanks for sharing God bless and protect.

It's always sad to see something like this happen with so many unknowns. A few theories for you. I agree with the person who mentioned property taxes. One has to wonder if there is a mortgage. If there is either or both, I feel something bad happened to the person who was eating breakfast and reading, then nothing. It's left abandoned to the state of how the person left it. People only leave things like that if they passed away, something bad happened to them or something bad happened to a family member. If there is no notice on the door for property tax or mortgage, then someone is aware of what happened and is paying. However, I do agree with others that a welfare check is due to make sure nothing bad happened to whomever was living there just in case they had no one to look out for them.

Bees as well as wasps are inactive or dormant at night, so all that you had to do was place a tarp over the area where their nest was (to block out the light to mimic nighttime) and they would have left you alone. You could have left it there until you were completely done with the yard and removed it as you were leaving.

I would like to think that God may have revealed that to you while you were cleaning up that property, your first instincts may very well be sufficient for us to know. What you do out the kindness of your heart my be all that God requires of you and you probably want to help more but then it wouldn't be his will but yours. Awesome job!! My guess is someone had an illness in the family. This required the homeowner to leave abruptly. The illness is long term, and the homeowner is busy taking care of their loved one.

Those Bees 🐝 can be a problem for kids I would let the neighbors know if the have kids to be careful at that spot 😊 good job getting that’s lawn mowing for the owners. Where ever they are. Thumbs up 👍
