Amazing summary. Just one thing. The watch he wears in the end is a knockoff. He hates fakes because his identity is that of an imposter himself. He wears it in the end to embrace his "fake" identity as a gangster and take over the organization as Jung chang wanted.

LOL i think the story is about Humanity in the face of stress makes a human decision. Its not a white or black world where there is clear delineation of right or wrong decision. This filmed is inspired by the HK movie infernal affairs that deals with the theme of No right or wrong and the line is so blurred.

You realize how good this movie is watching it the second time. The scene with the fake watch sort of shows that Chung does not care about "Authenticity" that much as Ja Sung was essentially a "fake" just like the watch. However in the end, he gets the real watch, as he "really" is part of the organization and not the police.

There was an online multiplayer game called "Triad Wars" that was basically going to help fund the sequel, but fans were mad that Triad Wars wasn't the sequel and the game received a lot of backlash. So, developers decided to pull the plug because fans weren't happy.

Square Enix didn't want other titles to overshadow their franchise games the Final Fantasy and the Hitman that time. Also, they took this game from Activision. It wasn't the fans, it was the Square Enix that pulled the plug, they also stated the next Sleeping Dogs 2[sic] was too big and ambitious.

I loved this movie when I first saw it but I must be remembering the ending differently. I thought he had to take the role of the leader of the crime syndicate because the cops lost their edge and they were gunning for them. And that Chief Kang had one last meeting with Ja Sung and told him to keep that role as it will keep him alive. Didn't realize it was all Ja Sung's doing and choice.
