Loved this episode but the politics section threw me off. I totally agree that we live in an Oligarchy and the two parties are two sides of the same coin but like JD Vance literally came out this week and said the comments he made about Haitians eating pets was a story he created that has had real world consequences. The black community in Springfield is being actively targeted because of this. Democrats have no spine but their words aren’t causing actual immediate harm to marginalized communities. I just think equating the two in that way is not right, personally. But I do hear what yall are saying.

The story JD Vance said isn't affecting the black community. It's affecting haitians. There's a difference between illegal hatians and black Americans. Also, black residents of Springfield, Ohio, are complaining about it too

​@@fourthcasper6161 I honestly doubt that any of the white people targeting the Haitians of Springfield know the difference between Haitians and anybody else in the black diaspora. Also the residents of Springfield have said that the Haitians are actually benefitting the local job market and economy where the city saw wages surge with a rising number of job openings in a labor market that remained tight until recently. This is not to say that the surge in immigrants did not have other growing pains.

@NickPotter-vq9om it's illegal to hire illegal immigrants, which the haitians are illegal. So what job growth are you talking about? Also, it's pretty easy to tell the difference between a haitian, who just showed up, and compared to a black American who's been your neighbor for years. I've seen the city council meeting of Springfield, Ohio, where residents have been complaining about them
