RCA Victor factory was right near the waterfront in Camden NJ. When I was a kid back in the 1960s you could see the dog listening to the Victorphone on top of the factory. Little trivia for you. Right across the street was the Campbell soup factory.

A bit like Rhino or Blue Underground in the USA. That DVD is probably not as old as the actual film, but their stuff is released in relatively linited quantities..

The old iPhones still work! They don't get the prime new updates and new apps but they work! I have an old iPad but I use it every day. It plays movies and music and gets some email and still runs the old apps. It still is worth some money and there are people that can upgrade the software.

Former pawnbroker here. Do you guys use software as well for your incoming items and outgoing inventory? I see you using paper tickets but no computer. We used paper tickets if our system was down or if the power was out. We also had to take two IDs for new customers. Last thing, is your store a sell only or do you do pawns too? How long do you have to keep items before you can sell them? Sorry for all the questions. Love the shop, atmosphere and the parrot and cat. Just gives the place a friendly vibe.

Pretty sure he can't give money against goods to buy back, was mentioned in a previous video, apparently due to chicago state laws. Someone can sell it to him, and then buy it back at a higher price a few days/weeks later IF it's still there and not been sold. But they can't borrow against that item, and then have it reserved for a month to buy back at a higher price.

Motor on that Victrola needs to be serviced. The reproducer needs to be completely rebuilt. New needles are easily obtainable, the ones with the machine are probably used. The seller is a complete hustler. A VIctrola VIII unserviced at the most is $150 or so. The sound is terrible- that’s because air is blowing out the gaskets. All of these guys think they are sitting on the next holy grail. Victor made hundreds of thousands of these machines. This guy was unbelievable- squeeze blood from a stone. Pete is going to never be able to sell it.
