This video was super helpful! I just installed my Garmin Zumo XT on my KTM 790 ADV R following the steps in this video. A little tricky putting the extra wiring in place to allow for the headlight to be put back in place but if you push the extra wiring towards the back top end of the compartment it will all fit. I don’t know if it’s an issue with the 2020’s yet. Mine would get condensation just sitting in the garage during cold weather. ADV Rider has a good 790 sub forum on all the 790 issues, fixes, and upgrades. Cold weather starting, idling and stalling was an issue with mine. Bikes are too lean. The Booster Plug will richin it up enough to eliminate those hiccups, stalling, and improves throttle response.

Great video, Travis. I wish KTM would have had an ACC2 connector come up and tied off just under the cover that you remove to place the GPS mount. They do this with the Norden 901 and you don't have to take the TFT off and remove the headlight. I guess I'll install my GPS permanent wiring on my KTM 890 Adventure after my first warranty work is done. Not sure if they would void my warranty if they knew I disassembled the headlight.
@EverySingleSunday2 жыл бұрын
Ya, I’ve heard the Norden has it up there. That is a huge help I doubt they would void a warranty based on you taking the headlight out unless something you did effects what a problem was.
