Super informative video that explains why I can never get my Powerslide Next Cuff as tight as I'd like. I'm having trouble understanding the spreadsheet. It seems to imply that only the Powerslide Cuff's will fit the Next boot (size 44-45). But in the video you show the Next boot with lots of different cuffs attached. I understand that some cuffs require redrilling (like you did with the FR cuff). But are there any cuffs that provide more front to back support that don't require redrilling for the Next? On your blog post for the Powerslide Next you mention: 'This issue can be mitigated by replacing the cuff with an aftermarket option like the Damn Brand cuff' but I can't find anything about a 'Damn Brand' cuff. What about the Them 909 Cuffs? Those looked slick on the Next boot in this video!

Very nice comprehensive talk about cuffs. That was probably a huge effort. About stiffness, I think the cuff plays a big role but before swapping cuffs and potentially ruin a pair of skates (because the shell flaps are also important) a strong liner that can be laced to the top acts as ankle braces, giving you a lot more support and a much stiffer skate feeling. For instance the M12 are very flexy laterally and simply putting something like the Twister XT or some intuition liners will solve it.

Amazing data and effort which you and your team collected. Had a real bad ankle injury grinding with a wheel bite which entire cuff broke while twisting my left ankle. What cuff would you all recommend with Aeons?

Thank you so much for such a detailed explanation. Quick question. I'm looking to order replacement cuff for my 17 year old RB twisters. Would the cuff from new Twister fit? Or i do see older cuff in one size small on your site. Could i fit one size small instead? I suppose this will make angle strap tighter but I have skinny angles so might work good! 😹

What roller skates would you recommend for someone who lives in a small country town with rough/bumpy chip and tar rodes? I prefer speed first, then comfort. When I say comfort, I mean less vibration. These skates will just be used to go up and down roads and sidewalks; no tricks or anything. Please give me a middle of the rode price for first recommendation and a budget recommendation. If it's the same model for both that's fine too. Thank you.

In general I would say it is a bad Idea to do the cuff like the X35 has.
