Any recommendations. If I have 2 12v 100ah gel batteries connected in parallel only not series, what product can I purchase to balance them?

You need a two bank smart charger. I use a few from Powermania but Noco is also very popular. I have 3 batteries in parallel and use a three bank charger to keep each one perfectly and individually topped off. It's a must.

@@mrdaniel0078 I should have mentioned that the 2 12v 100ah gel batteries will be connected to a solar charge controller and 100w solar panel. So my batteries connected in parallel will get a charge from solar but I guess I wanted to balance the batteries some how to make sure they are both at equal voltage as much as possible while connected parallel and to solar. Is a battery equalizer necessary?

An actual equalizer is technically not necessary as long as you start with batteries that are exactly the same in voltage, size, brand, and age. The problem can happen later in time when one of the battery cells will start to deteriorate or go bad. You will never know when this will happen, unless you are going to check your batteries daily for months and years in the future. If you're not planning on keeping an eye on your batteries on a daily basis, then you will need a "smart charger" A 2 bank smart charger will equlize the voltage, maintain, and "recondition" the battery every time you turn it on. This, in turn will give you piece of mind and freedom to work on other things. You can use a smart charger all the time or only a few times a year if you feel like giving your batteries some maintenance. I own a pair of gel batteries that are 11 years old but have been connected to a smart charger most of their life (RV that is plugged to shore power all the time)
