My parents and my 6 siblings went through a tornado during The Super Outbreak In 1974. We lived in Mountain View,Georgia(Clayton County) directly across the expressway from Hartsville International Airport, 24/7/365 airplanes flying over our house and we could see the pilots and the passengers, that is how low the airplanes were when flying out and coming in for the landings. Plus 3 blocks behind our house was the railroad tracks for the freight trains, including those freight trains that would stop at The FORD Automobile Plant in Hapeville,Georgia, so I know the difference between a freight train and a tornado. I grew up in Mountain View,Georgia for 17 and a half years. That was my first tornado in 1974,and several others in my married life and they(tornados) sound just as though thousands of thousands of those airplanes coming at the same time, and mixed in that sound, throw in the sound of a wailing woman.

We had Thunder Snow in November 2007 & my daughter's car bounced off the driveway & all 4 tires left the ground!! She'd never seen Thunder Snow till then! The sky was a rose pinkish red it was so close! Rattled our entire house but didn't break any windows!

We had Thunder Snow in the earlier 90’s here in North Georgia. We had drifts up to 6 feet. It was amazing. BTW , we were living in a camper as our home was being built. Ugh!
