'In another life, I would have really liked just doing laundry and taxes with you' is one of the most romantic lines I've ever seen in a movie. It's a stunning feat that a film so batshit crazy made me feel so deeply about the central family drama. I never say movies are masterpieces, at least not for the last 20 years or so. But this movie is a masterpiece. The main message of this film is kindness (I think I saw an interview where the Daniels said they wanted to make kindness as exciting as John Wick or something like that) and acceptance. And man, it delivers. Michelle Yeoh had better win some awards for this one. The film better win some awards. But to me the real star (and heart) of the movie is Ke Huy Quan aka Short Round :D He was so good, both in his acting and emoting but the action scenes as well. His quitting acting and doing mostly stunt work and stunt coordination since then - really showed here. Stephanie Hsu who played Joy was also amazing. Mr. Hong, amazing. Just a great cast. AND Jamie Lee Curtis? Come on. I've said this in other reactions - but the two um, butt plug security guys are awesome KZbinr's - Martial Club. The not butt plug guy was actually in Shang Chi as the masked guy who "trained" Shang as a kid and fought him in that skyscraper. And the butt plug guy is his brother. I believe Martial Club did the fight/stunt choreography for this movie. Jackie Chan (among others) are their big inspirations for their martial arts work (and they worked with him a few years ago) and now got to work with Michelle Yeoh! Fun little fact, originally this movie was made for Jackie Chan to star in it, but then they changed it to be Michelle Yeoh's Evelyn.

This is one of my top 10 favorite movie of all time. I caught it in theaters and there were about 7 of us. We were all sobbing. After, it had us strangers talking about it. Waymonds speech destroyed me. When he said, “I don’t know what’s going on, but I feel like it’s all my fault.” And when he fixed the tax problem and he starts crying when he says, “idk, I just talked w her.” 🥺🥺 And the mom/ daughter at the end. Omg. The daughters “just let me go.” The bagel is her depression and sadness. Her giving in to the darkness, the emptiness. 😭😭😭😭 I’m hoping this movie gets multiple Oscar noms. Movie, best actress, supporting actor, supporting actress, directing, special effects. And totally agree w you, “it’s something I didn’t know I needed.” 🥺🥺💜💜

It Is totally full of layers over layers of meanings and citations, but never boring, continuously moving among different universes and situations and emotional scenes every one different from the others. Laughing and crying at the same time, several times. For me this Is the best movie ever made, by far. This Is the movie of the movies. There is only one movie in movie history i saw wich gives me similar sensations, but in any case at a much lower level. This Is Forrest Gump. This movie Is a multiverse of Forrest Gump, It Is an exponential Forrest Gump. You know what i mean? I think the most important part of the movie for me, was that expressing that just being kind is sort of a "weapon" that one fights with. Like, I know that I am never gonna win any physical fist fights... but I also know that if only I could imprint my feelings upon another person, it would solve so much! People keep telling me to fight (I am a pretty big guy), but the idea of fighting, is just wrong to me. So the idea that me just trying to solve things by trying to be kind and that it is another way of "fighting" hits so strongly for me. It is not a cowards way out... it is in-fact a more difficult road than just pummeling your way through. And this movie showed that beautifully.

The action choreographers were in the movie. The two guys who fought Michelle Yeoh with butt plugs ( Alpha Trophy Jumpers). They are brothers Andy Le and Brian Le. I think they did the action choreography for Shang Chi and the legend of the ten rings.

Brad Allen was the stunt supervisor on Shang Chi and Andy Cheng was the fight coordinator. The Le brothers were stunt men on the shoot and Andy Le (the one with red hair) also portrayed Death Dealer, the guy in the mask who oversaw Shang Chi’s training as a child.

Really enjoyed your reaction thanks :) I was lucky to see it at cinema, epic experience, just left in shock and awe haha. I'm trying to get family and friends to see it while it might still be out at cinemas. THIS is how to make a film.

"I'm useless alone." "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone." This is an often overlooked exchanged that really hits deep for me. None of us can do much in this world all by ourselves. WE all need help, we all need each other. And together, we can do some crazy shit.
