I think they are being over cautious with you on the Egyptian roads, I think the main reason is because they are concerned you have an accident and then it will be bad press for Egyptian authority if a European tourist is injured or even killed while in Egypt it looks bad. They don't want anything to happen to tourists that might frighten off other international tourists. good luck with the rest of you're travels.

I don't think it's actual rules. Most likely it's micro policing, add to that a language barrier and it's hell. I suspect that if you spoke arabic and requested a supervisor, you will more than likely find out that those cops are pulling rules from their asses

Yves i noticed that when you are sweating and it runs into your eyes, your eyes burn. So u need to wash your face and your hair to stop it. Sweat drops habe alot of salt in it. That's the reason for the eyes burning

Egypt’s economy heavily depends on tourism. In the past there were some terrorist activities in the Sinai and the western media news scared tourism with huge hit to the economy. You arrogantly thought, they were just limiting your travel out of the blue. The police stopped u nt bcz the reasons u said but bcz the road u select is 2 way and not wide enough and has the highest slop so for bicycle very dangerous the police point always check car brakes if it isnt good they not allow to pass specially the rolad has big slop and it is like a snake has sharp curve and in one side down the sea and next side valley down .very dangerous road

@@mahaadel633 sorry, but this zealous behavior makes an even worse image for Egypt, because every tourist feels being watched over by the police in Egypt, and then they all have those weird stories to say, and because of that, among travelers, Egypt has the image of one of the worst countries to travel to... So no, this extra caution does not help Egypt get a better image, it is actually the complete opposite.
