I was a Christian at the time it came out after my 2nd transition. I'm no longer a Christian but I listen to it every time that I have a spiritual awakening and much like you, it always hits just as hard for me too. I think it always seems like a new song because I am a new person when I come out of a serious spiritual transition. Feels like I have a new name and everything. The song may be slow but it makes me celebrate. A song of healing and restoration. It is such a blessed song when you've gone through a process and come out on the other side of things: whether you climbed out the valley, crossed the ocean, walked the desert or climbed up the mountain. This is song and song of consecration are very sacred when I am starting a new season. Infinite love and blessings. Thanks for sharing your experience with the song too.

I'm a huge YP fan. I am wondering why very rarely a member of YP is allowed to sing lead on the cds unless it is a guest singer on the cd. JJ Hairston is a very good writer and choir director but sometimes I would like to hear other members of the group do more of the lead singing.
