I used to be a very shy person due to so many factors like abuse and trauma. Then I realized that I was being that way because I was pedestalizing people, centering them, and making them more important than they actually were. I realized that people aren’t all that and that the same God that made me also made them. God didn’t make a mistake in making me. Also, people pretend to be perfect when they are just as imperfect as you. I also asked myself what was so special about them. My confidence grew exponentially because of this reflection.

I will be turning 21 by September, for me this particular video is absolutely relatable. When I was much younger I was opportune to attend several innovative programs for teens and girl child and the likes. I would see my age mate talking profoundly, and I wished I could talk profoundly on stage as well. But I couldn't at the time, because shyness was taking a hold on me, I couldn't express my cognitions at the time. For the past two years I have been walking on taking my confidence to the next level, me watching this video today is a blessing. I am super ecstatic to say that I have moved my confidence level to a greater measure, me trying to find my purpose In life. I would like to say that it all starts with aggressively wanting to break free from it. I'm also Winniefred but a Ghanian. I was extremely shy and I fasted for 3 days about this problem...it was just like a miracle. I just felt so light and confident when I went to school the next day. I just couldn't fathom the feeling. People were like ive changed. So all I can say is that taking this problem to God is the only way.❤❤❤❤

@JenniferChizoba-pc3hr if you truly want the gift, then just ask God for it. When I got baptized, I was asked if I wanted the gift of speaking in tongues and of course I said yes lol. It came about a month later. At first I felt blocked from it and like this big hesitation, but after being at an event where everyone was praying in tongues, I just joined in unafraid bc no one would hear me and it’s like that’s what I needed to open up, and every since then I’ve been speaking fluent in tongues.

I'm a new follower, I followed from the previous video❤❤ I have something to share😊 I'm a shy person but I'm definitely not a pushover, I speak when I have to and I know very well how to put ppl in their place. But I figured that was not enough, I would not speak unless something or someone triggered me. I skipped admission last year cuz I wanted to work on myself so bad. I'm better than ever before and I feel great. I started loving myself more, my self esteem skyrocketed, I started working on everything. My communication skill is still quite poor but its better now. I'm always very shy when speaking in public, especially at work. The main reason is the fear of making mistakes when speaking in English. I don't know how to overcome this because there is office politics at my organization, and being very outspoken has helped some people get promoted.

Heyy. You’ve gotten the root cause of your shyness already which is a good thing. Now it’s up to you to work on that thing. If you fear making mistakes when speaking in English, work extensively on your English till you master it. It’s not too late. Get a dictionary. Practice speeches in the mirror. Read books. Watch British movies. Download helpful apps. Buy English textbooks and be intentional about learning. And if you’re already excellent at speaking English and the dear is just making mistakes, then as the lady said in the video, get comfortable with making mistakes and learn from them. It’s just a fear and it’s affecting your career. Break yourself free. Only you can do it. If you’re a Christian, ask for the help of the Holy Spirit and follow His guidance. But I remember something I read that if you ask God to help you become bold, it’s not like you’re going to wake up one morning and feel boldness in your chest, but He’s going to give you opportunities to exercise your understanding of who you are in Christ and that you’ve not been given the spirit of fear. But ultimately the choice will be yours to take a step of faith. You’ll be surprised with the outcome because He will help.

Shyness & timidity are truly diminutives (or counterparts and forms) of fear, it's a form of bondage and prison, worse than the literal physical prison. That 2Timothy 1:7 has really done a lot in my life personally cos fear is also one of the greatest tools of the adversary, it's the exact opposite of faith.
