For our older pups we do the cosequin supplements that we get from Costco and I time in for when they’re $10 off or something like that. My dogs are bigger (lab and malamute) and they have an intro period where you give them more then switch to less for the maintenance period so it works well!

Yes! We love that Costco has these. My dogs got picky and don’t like the pills and only the soft chews now. Unfortunately, they are way more expensive but on Amazon.

The first time I purchased the Lysol laundry rinse was 3 years ago when I was pregnant and my husband had the flu. I still use it like you mentioned, but also for those times were you completely forget that there was a load of clothes in the washer and now it's been a day or two and they're getting funky. I do a Lysol rinse and then a regular wash with detergent. Gets all the funky out and I feel better knowing the Lysol killed anything not supposed to be there.

Hi Jen, we get our dog joint supplements too and we get ours from our Costco, they are called Cosequin. And she just loves them! Which they must be good because she won't take pills even when we put them in those pill pockets, she got smart and noticed that something was in them. lol Also, I am team Q-tips too, I won't stop using them no matter what they advise. 🥰

Hey Jen? Have you ever tried the trick of wrapping the entire stalk of celery in aluminum foil? When you need a rib, peel off and wash. It makes the celery last longer. You’ll get several weeks out of that celery. I’ve heard you can do it with lettuce too, but I’ve not tried it. And I love that Tzaziki dip. I eat it with baby carrots.

Hey Jen! The membrane from an egg is actually a great natural support for dog joint health. When you crack an egg, you can just peel the membrane away. My dogs just eat it but for picky dogs you could mix into their food. Just an idea. Maybe that could cut back on the pills!

GIRL brussel sprouts roasted in the oven at 425 for like 20-25 mins with the auntie nono’s everything seasoning, pepper, and olive oil on it. Incredible.

Costco/Chewy have a brand called cosequin plus msm. My dogs have been on it for years. The first month, you build up their system. My dog is 90lbs too and she takes 2 tabs daily. She thinks they are her "treats" and has helped delay and reduce the arthritis in her body. She is a large German Shepherd. Hope this helps. Costco has them on sale 2 bottle for $53!!! Cheaper than Chewy and more tabs.

My vet told me to give regular OTC glucosamine to my dog. She’s been on it for over 3 years and it’s definitely a more affordable option. I just get a big Kirkland pack when I go to Costco.

I use Glycoflex for my dogs (stage three for most of them)! One of my pups is 75-80 pounds and he only takes one tablet per day. They also have a chew version too, but for his size, he’d need two chews per day.

Thank you for the hint on the veggie roasters and the chz dip I just added both of them to my grocery order. I really like the smart balance if I am using margarine I think it has the best flavor. I also get whipped butter to save on calories only 70 cal per tablespoon and easy to spread if you leave it out for a few minutes. I'm excited about your weight loss journey it's giving me inspiration!!

I julienne spinach and put it in rice and pasta when it is cooking a good way to get your family to eat more spinach also I julienne it and use it for salad it’s easier to eat that way

For Glucosamine, try Dasuquin chews. I gave them to my dog for years, and he loved them. If that’s not an option, and you stick with pills, you can save a few bucks on pills pockets by making them yourself with flour and peanut butter.

I was finally able to find baked Tostitos tortilla chips in December at Hy-Vee. They didn’t taste as good as I remember (they haven’t been around for a long time). Very expensive, too. I try to be as oil free as possible so I cut up corn tortillas and air fry them when I want chips and salsa.

Nuts are full of oil...which can go rancid. I keep all nuts in the freezer or I know for sure I'm using quickly..I'll keep in the fridge. It makes them last so much longer and nuts are pricey!

The best trick I’ve found for giving my dogs their meds is to crush it up in their food or put it in peanut butter. For their supplements we give them fish oil capsules, just the ones we would take and I buy at Costco or Sam’s and I buy their joint supplements their too, just depends which store is carrying them for dogs.

I always bake bacon, either in the oven or the air fryer, and I freeze it already cooked. Thaws in seconds and they you just heat it up in the pan and use the bacon fat for other things. We give one of our dogs Cosequin for her joints. We were told she was arthritic at 4 yaars old. steve buys it from Chewy now but Costco also sells it. I open two tabs in her dinner meal and she has no idea it is there. Hard to give her pills.

I give my 3 senior dachshunds the VET IQ Glucosamine/Chondroitin supplement treats. I buy them at Sam's Club. I also buy Pill Pockets at Sam's. They come in a box in of 3bags; very cost effective. My 2 boys are very difficult to get to take any kind of pill or even their glucosamine chondroitin treat. My female will take off your hand to take down anything! For the boys, I have to wrap anything in a pill pocket. They have me trained very well! 😂 Walmart also sells the VET IQ glucosamine/chondroitin treats but the bag is smaller and is more costly so if you belong to Sam's, that is definitely the place to buy it and they frequently have it on sale so I always grab an extra bag when it's on offer. I lt's a bag of 180 treats and it's dosed by weight obviously. My dogs are all little so they get one every other day. Much bigger than the bag you can get at Walmart. Cheaper than Amazon too. Hope that helps! Hugs to handsome Murphy and adorable Milo! Oh and I love the Dawn Power Wash; it's a great laundry pretreater and it makes your laundry smell great! I bet the similar Gain product you bought will work the same way. No need to buy the scent beads any longer. Dang those things are expensive!

It’s always been my understanding that with glucosamine it needed to be started young not when there is already an issue. I may be wrong though. Most large breed dog foods will include a small amount in them. Certain dogs are more susceptible to hip displacement and joint issues and need the supplements early.

I am not a fan of Brussels Sprouts either. I did make them with Balsomic Vinegar Glaze and that was pretty good. I bought the glaze for a PaulaDeen recipe.I love Feta Cheese I forget to buy it when I do my shopping.I love the grocery delivery. I didn’t mind grocery shopping, but I really appreciate not having to do it. Smart Balance is what friend’s heart and kidney doctor recommend that she use. I love the soft flour tortillas, I made Fish Toco’s and they were very good. Great video Jen.

We have 3 dogs and they all HATE taking pills. So, I take part of a piece of lunch meat, plop a little peanuts butter on it, stick the pill into the PB and then roll it up like a little sushi piece and they eat the whole thing in one chomp

The only way I will eat brussels sprouts is when I make them in the air fryer I put them in some olive oil with the little auntie no no’s and some Parm cheese I cook them at 100° for 10 minutes I do open the air fryer at five minutes and shake them around

Grocery pick up at Walmart is definitely the way to go. I went last week and spent $400 in the store. They have no cashiers so I had to scan, bag, and set it aside as I continued the whole cart 🤪then I had to put it back in the cart methodically so I didn’t smash everything. I was on a time crunch so I was 🤬 lol trying not to visibly show it. Then I had to take it out to the car take it back out of the cart put it in my car and then drive it home take it out of the car, put it in the house and then put it all away and I know that sounds like a whiny baby but if I’m not gonna pay a fee and can just drive up and have somebody put it in the back of my car, why would I not do that? Grocery pickup from now on.

Love Perfect Poop. Game changer. I give Rexall brand Triple Strength Glucosamine/Chondroitin with MSM from Dollar General. It’s in the human medical isle. And, I use MilkBone Brand pill pouches from Amazon. Both are very cost effective and work great too. I was in the animal field for about 15 years. All is vet approved. 💗
