The day I sold my 2010 G6ET was the end of 4 years of constantly chasing rattles and fixing or replacing parts you shouldn't have to in a low km car.

I got a ford focus and it only has 81,000 kilometers and so far the electric steering has failed and the steering rack has been replaced...then the heater core failed and leaked coolant everywhere inside the car and the entire dash needs to be removed to replace that. now the camshaft position sensor has failed.
@Gooie692 жыл бұрын
@@dalesmith4985 funny you say that. A mate had one and the rack went. Ford wanted 2.5 or 3k for a new one. Mate got a genuine one off some dude on ebay for $300. I'd say the fella must have aquired them somehow because he had more than a few. Had heaps or gearbox problems with it also. Think there ended up being a class action against Ford over them.

The build qaulity from BF to FG is woeful to say the least, everything from the B Pillar outer door trims being plastic in the FG's, the interior fit & finish on almost every trim piece, to even the NVH; my BF XR8 MK2 with GT500 engine & manual box swap, as noisey as it was exhaust wise, was miles better in NVH in the body/ interior comapared to my FG XR6T manual- especially in the boot/ rear seat area. Went through 2 NOS turbo diffs under warranty due to the whining/ howling, despite chamge of tires/ bearings/ everything. Angle of the ICC screen sucks balls. Gearshift surround on the manuals always warps, and have gone through 4 now. Seal on power steering resivour shits itself, takes out the alternator which in motion can over charge the battery, smoking all 3 things costing near on $1k in parts ($700 NOS steering pump without a pulley) By the time FG rolled around, you can tell Ford Oz's budget had been stripped to fuck all, care of Ford USA. Whilst the FG X went out with a bang, the interior really needed something flash murray to really send it off (even the FG MK2 needed an interior update). And your car has nothing on mine bloke- kids have destroyed my LHR quarter panel thanks to bikes & shit, an Indian delivery driver left dents in my bootlid, my TR6060 rattles more than a methhead popping pills, still have diff whine, and the fucking thing eats a power steering pump every 3 years. As much as it costs me like an ex wife, i'll keep it till i croak it!
