I made a chunky chenille finger knit afghan and 50" x 50: throw this winter and they are super warm and cozy. You should make one. They are amazing and made with Bernat BIG yarn available at Michaels. They also have the chunky yarn at Hobby Lobby. Enjoy.

You've made so many gorgeous knits! And also using a knit as something to sleep in is brilliant! Why haven't it thought of that! I have a knitted tee wich turned out a lot bigger than expected. But I think it would be great sleepwear!! Can't wait for part 2😊

just had the best morning watching your podcsat and knitting on my version of the stripe hype sweater :) I'm curious about how it will fit though after listening to your experiences with the pattern. Still, I loved seeing all your knits of the first half of 2023 wrapped up and I'm looking forward to part 2!

Started my Judy sweater after watching one of your earlier podcasts and absolutely loved the end result, which was a nice relief since just before it I had made a sweater which hadnt lived up to expectations. Echoing your sentiment of it staying in my wardrobe forever! Watching this video as I knit my Stella Quilt Cushion (also found via one of your videos 😂)

That was great…, just great! Not only because you knitted a lot, but because there are many projects I really want to knit, too as they are just beautiful. And with all the information you added I am now prepared to avoid one or another …. hmmmm… not SOOOO optimal detail. I am also thankful that you mentioned that the Sunday yarn feels a bit scratchy. I was right before buying it in a sweater amount because so many knitters use it. But I know that I am very very sensible and now will try it with something smaller first now. Also interesting that one of the Sundays is prewashed…., have never thought that…, so thank you. Well, I would like to watch part two soon but a short look to my watch told me „better tomorrow“ ;) So thanks again! It was informative and very enjoyable…, like your other podcasts (so a bit needless to mention it every time). I am very interested in your ravelry page although I am one who is just at the beginning of using it and have to learn a much,… a big much… Looking forward to,watching part two and all the other videos which will hopefully follow in 2024. Btw…, it’s a little bit late… but I wish you a happy New Year! Thanks again!

It’s not the Sunday but the duo by Sandnes that I find a bit scratchy! Thank you so much & I hope you have a great year 😊

So interesting that your Anker’s bonnet was too small even though you sized up. Every time I knit a PetitKnit baby pattern it ends up huge! I feel like I spend about a third of all of my videos ranting about how big PetitKnit and Knitting for Olive baby patterns are 😅

It's called the rinse cycle when you wash in the machine.:)
@marleneknits9 ай бұрын
that’s intersting! I put my knits in sometimes just to press out the access water after hand washing and particularly not use a cycle where there could be any (other temperature) water coming in to shock and felt it, so that’s why I was calling it just the spin cycle I guess 🤭

I would be really interested in a planning video :) For the washing machine, would use a cold Wool cycle help ? So that all the water for washing and rinsing is the same temperature ? I am very wary of washing hand knits still :)
@marleneknits10 ай бұрын
yes possibly but still the cold water for rinsing in winter could be even colder than the cold wool cycle water and shock the knitted piece! I’d still prefer hand washing my knits as well ☺️

Wow, you knitting so much Nice. I agree it's not always easy knitting for children, but it's fun to do, at least some times. I've been a knitter for 50 years ør so now and I still learn. I'm looking for part two. Hope you understand I'm from Norway and I'm not so good in English. Happy New Year and happy knittingyear to you.

I find drops belle a bit scratchy as well, it’s getting better with wear. I assume that it’s because of the linen, it’s a bit rough in this yarn, while Sandnes Linen doesn’t have such problems. I love your color choices, amazing color palette ❤

I really like your sweaters and your socks. How long does it take you knit a pair of socks? I've never tried that yet, but I would like to. Why don't you get some brown rit dye for your hat that is fading?
@marleneknits9 ай бұрын
thank you! knitting one sock can take between a weekend and 2 weeks.. it’s really depends on how much I focus on it! but I love it and would highly recommend trying it! the hat is a brownish red and I still like the look of it so no need for over dyeing for now :)

@marleneknits10 ай бұрын

@marleneknits10 ай бұрын

No need to watch any further if you get bored of course! I quite liked the way in which I structured these videos and since I took a lot of time and effort to make them I’m quite happy with them as well! I might rethink the format for next year, we’ll see :)
