Did you know, I recently wrote the most comprehensive book ever written about keeping, feeding and breeding Cherry Shrimp. Check it out here neocaridina-shrimp-handbook.com

Personally the easiest plants are: java moss, frogbit, java fern, anubias, pearlweed, rotala and crypts(crypts & swords if you have a deep substrate system)

90 minutes that's longer than some movies. I'll come back with Popcorn later to watch it all in one hit.

Hi, I’m really interested in starting shrimp breeding, you make it look really doable. Where is the near place buy shrimp?
@FishKeepingAnswers17 сағат бұрын
It really is doable my friend. I don’t know where in the world you are based, so it is difficult to suggest somewhere to buy shrimp 🤷🏻♂️

As a college student that just got into the hobby, long videos like this are great to listen to while I’m studying. Hope you make more long videos🙏

Thank you so much for your videos on cherry shrimp. It has helped me so much in setting up my first shrimp tank. I have 4 berries females and a bunch of baby shrimp in only two months! I had a couple shrimp deaths in the beginning but I figured out what I was going wrong.

Richard, I wanted to ask about proper сulling. At what age is it better to do it, can a young female gain good coloration with age, or is it already clear in adolescence?
@FishKeepingAnswers19 сағат бұрын
Hi. Personally I cull at around the 2 to 3 month mark. At that point you can tell the really good colour shrimp from the average ones. With that said, cull for me means moving to a dedicated cull tank rather than kill, so I can always reintroduce a shrimp that suddenly colours up.

@@FishKeepingAnswers I apologize, I asked the question without watching the video to the end, there is already an answer to my question at the end of the Shrimp Life cycle section)

Excelent video Richard all great info for the new shrimp keeper. Also I would like to share my Baby shrimp powder recipie ( If that is Ok ) that has delivered great results for me. Tetra Tropical flakes or Fluval Bug bites Colour Enhancing flakes ( If you want to get spendy) Dried Black bloodworms, Bee pollen ( From a wholefoods store is fine) and Dried/ Dehydrated Cale ( From fresh) this blend has got my baby's and Female's going way better than before using it. Plus a shout out to @MarksShrimpTanks as well as yourself for the powdered flake tip.
