What you love: the quarter system What you dislike: the quarter system ...??

He likes it because he gets to take MORE classes but he also dislikes it Bec it feels like it goes way too fast since they don't rely on moving through semesters

Take some business courses even if you're not a business major. Learning basic accounting/financial analysis is essential to career progression and will prove extremely useful in your personal life as well. Most corporate roles will shift from technical know-how to business administration/management. A lot of people who started their career in a technical field (e.g. computer science/biology) end up getting their MBAs to learn the 'business side of things' before progressing to management and c-suite roles. Another word of advice: don't become overconfident with your education. Yes, Stanford is an incredibly difficult school to get into and there is tremendous prestige and honor associated with it... but classes alone can only teach you so much. A majority chunk of your 'learning' will simply come from self studying! Which is not necessarily a bad thing ;) Last but not least, please do not forget to prioritize your own health and happiness. It's easy to get caught up in the grind and stuff your schedule with a million different activities... but if it's costing you sleep, relationships, happiness and your sanity, then you know you've put too much on your plate (don't try and push through it... Lessen your load and slow down) Hope this advice helps... best of luck to anyone who reads this!!!

Could you share about financial aid. Did you get any scholarships from the school? Did financial aid cover all of your expenses. I hear that you have to pay an extra fee for some classes. Can you please talk about it. Thanks

Hey, I was just admitted into the Stanford Class of 28. I might be late, but I can help. Financial aid at Stanford and many other "top 20 schools" is completely need-based. They will provide you aid based on your family income / assets / etc. In my case, my family fits the threshold for me to receive 100% aid, meaning I am not paying anything to go to Stanford. This need-based aid is the main type of financial aid you'll see.
