Yasssss I just bought the new Chanel foundation and I’m obsessed! Didn’t think I’d love it since I wasn’t in love with the original lighter coverage version. But I had a Macy’s gift card burning a hole in my wallet so I figured what the heck. I’ve only used it twice and I can’t believe how fresh it makes my skin look even when applying it with a brush!! Like an angel flicked her tears on me or something 😂

October 1st is my two year anniversary since my first order from Salt New York and I have been loyally using the brand for my base since. They're amazing. I got the sneaky balm tints a few months ago and now my entire base is Salt New York and I don't see that changing anytime soon! I wish the brand got more hype because everything is sooo so beautiful and looks so natural. I will never stop singing my praises for that brand. ♥️☀️

@@allnamesarechosen_ one of the nice things about salt new York sneaky balm is that you can mix the shades easily. I use the 2nd from lightest shade and mix it with the 3rd for my summer shade

@@oceanbird. ayyyy those are the shades I'm in between with, the thing is that right now i have a perioral dermtitis flareup, so i'm waiting on that to chill down, and I'm lazy in terms of makeup as it is so I don't want to have to mix or, get two and then not being able to use it, even tho the price is super good, so i'm like still deciding on n11 or n12.

@@allnamesarechosen_ gotcha! Well in that case I'd recommend n12 to you. I'm more fair than Jamie and n11 is a perfect match for me esp in winter. She uses b30 in Chanel foundation in this video and I'm b20 in a Chanel foundation. Whenever you're ready hopefully you'll love it!

Big matcha/green tea fan here too! Our favourite is from Ippodo in Kyoto, Japan - we stumbled upon it on a trip to Japan a few years ago, and now my husband orders every so often to keep us well stocked. I think people miss out on the whole green tea department because typically green tea that's widely available in North America (like I'm thinking Lipton here..) is just not nearly the same quality - it's unbelievable the difference a high quality tea can make - it's a whole different, super delicious drink!

I always love 💗 watching what your favorite products are! I have to agree with you the new Tower 28 mascara is literally the best curling mascara I’ve ever used and I’ve used a lot of mascaras. I love that it layers up so well, it doesn’t budge at all and is so easy to remove. I’m also a HUGE fan of the new Olaplex clarifying shampoo and the LYS concealer! I’m definitely going to get the new Dermalogica micro exfoliant it sounds so good and the Laura Mercier blush it’s gorgeous on you!! ❤

Love love love the book recommendations! Highly recommend Daisy Jones and the Six which is by the same author as Evelyn Hugo. I haven’t read Piranesi (yet) but it’s giving me Greek mythology, self-odyssey vibes. If that’s the case, highly recommend Circe by Madeline Miller!

So glad you mentioned the Elemis AHA Glow Cleansing Balm and I agree it's heavenly. I've always loved the Clinique and Farmacy ones but this one is different in the best way. It has definitely quickly became one of my top favorite cleansing balms and is even better than the Glow Recipe Papaya in my honest opinion even though I do like that one. I gotta say you always have the best favorites. Happy Fall🍁🧡🎃

Buuut for the Matcha/coffee thing, if it's real matcha made from tencha leaves it could contain more or less the same amount of caffeine (or teanine that's basically the same)

I’m not worried about the caffeine intake, moreso how the caffeine specifically in coffee affects me! matcha also contains L-Theanine, an amino acid which is what makes you more focused, alert and calm (among other great things!) - and it also slows the absorption of the caffeine so you don’t get the caffeine crash like you have with coffee :)

It's not the same type of caffeine. Caffeine from coffee is more of a spike of energy and then a crash, whereas caffeine in matcha gives you energy more calmly and there isn't a crash afterwards.
